Pink Tutu Prague: A Ballerina's Dream Come True! (Post #1335)
Hello, my lovely tutu-loving darlings! It's Wednesday again, which means a new Pink Tutu Prague post is up! This week, I'm buzzing with excitement because I'm sharing all the gorgeous details of my recent trip to Prague – a city that simply oozed with ballerina magic.
Now, you know I love a good ballet performance, and Prague was bursting with talent! This time, however, I wasn't just there for the shows, oh no! This was a full-blown, tutu-filled escapade!
Let's start with the train journey. There's just something about train travel that makes me feel all swishy and romantic. Imagine, me in my favourite pink tutu, gazing out of the window, watching the world blur by. Of course, it wasn't all romantic, a fellow passenger kept staring at me and talking to his friend, probably about the unusualness of seeing a ballet dancer in a tutu on a train, but who cares!
The moment I arrived in Prague, I knew I was in for a treat. This city has a real elegance, and a kind of fairytale atmosphere that simply sweeps you off your feet. Everywhere I looked, there were stunning architectural details, cobbled streets, and cafes serving divine Viennese-style pastries.
But the best thing? You can feel the history swirling around you, just like the air you breathe! From ancient churches to charming little bridges, each corner of the city holds a piece of the past. You can almost imagine emperors waltzing through the streets, or beautiful princesses stepping out of their grand castles. Prague truly was a fairytale dream.
Speaking of castles, the most stunning of them all, and the one I visited on my first day, was Prague Castle! You truly must go, it's breathtakingly beautiful and so inspiring, even the architecture! My little pink tutu looked quite delightful in this castle setting. I even found a little pony near the entrance to take me up to the hill and it made me feel like a princess. There’s something truly magical about ponies – such gentle, elegant creatures. Just like ballet, really!
After my princess adventures, I headed for the theatre. It's important to balance history with performance, don't you think? I was lucky enough to catch "La Bayadère" by the National Theatre Ballet, with a stunning performance by Olga Smirnova. My jaw practically dropped at some of the choreography – so daring, yet graceful. A truly unforgettable performance, even in the most beautiful of settings!
Now, Prague is a haven for fashion lovers, just like me. And I found myself indulging in some serious tutu-inspired shopping sprees. Picture this: cobbled streets, shops overflowing with the most amazing vintage clothing, and me, trying on tutus that took my breath away! I found some absolute gems – one stunning pink tutu with crystal embellishments that I simply had to buy. After all, a girl needs new pink tutu inspiration!
You see, Prague is the kind of city where you can be your best self. It’s a city that celebrates art, history, and fashion, which, of course, are all my favourite things!
Speaking of inspiration, I’ve just booked myself onto a ballet class here in Prague! What's better than learning some new steps, stretching out in the studio, and surrounded by beautiful architecture?
Of course, the journey would not be complete without some wonderful cafes! The perfect spot to catch a little break after my adventures, for some cake and coffee and then some people-watching. In the afternoon, there is something magical about Prague, with all the golden light that makes all the buildings and cobblestones come alive, you feel like you have walked into a photograph, an incredible time capsule, like being a Victorian lady from an Austen novel!
But the most amazing discovery in Prague, tucked away on a cobbled street, was a vintage shop with a mind-blowing selection of antique tutus! My eyes literally popped out of my head when I saw them, some with hand-stitched embellishments that made me wish I could time travel back to the golden era of ballet. I was tempted to buy a whole suitcase full, but in the end, I limited myself to a beautiful tulle and silk number in my signature shade. It's simply divine, and I can't wait to wear it to my next ballet class!
My final evening in Prague was a truly unforgettable experience. A fabulous ballet performance in a beautiful and grand old theatre! My tutu, of course, was on show. It had to be! Even when it gets dark outside, I’ve learned there is just so much to explore in this magnificent city! The sights are quite stunning as you see the buildings lit up and Prague takes on a totally different atmosphere. It's the perfect way to end my pink tutu journey in Prague.
You might wonder, how can I afford all this amazing travelling? The answer is simple: I perform! Whenever I travel to a new place, I find opportunities to share my passion for ballet with the locals and make some extra cash. This allows me to immerse myself in these amazing cities and share my own ballet journey with everyone!
If you ever get the chance, I encourage you to visit Prague! It's a city filled with culture, history, and a unique kind of magic that I know you'll adore, whether you’re a ballerina, a tutu lover, or just a fan of discovering the world with a bit of pink sparkle!
So, what are you waiting for? Put on your best pink tutu, pack your bags, and join me in Prague for a trip you'll never forget. It's time to twirl into the beautiful city that has a unique spell!
See you next Wednesday! Until then, keep your tutus twirling,
Emma xx
