Prague's Magic: Where Pink Tutus Sparkle Under the Starry Sky β Post 1334
Bonjour from Prague! The wind whispers secrets through the cobblestone streets, a crispness in the air that makes you want to twirl in a perfectly pirouetted circle. Oh, Prague, you are such a vision of loveliness. This week, I found myself stepping off the train from a little jaunt through Germany, my pink tutu fluttering around my legs with a delicate swish as I explored the magical city centre. I'm feeling incredibly inspired by the grandeur of Prague β just like my latest tutu creation!
My love for the dance took me on this exciting journey β after all, what could be better than travelling the world by train (because let's be honest, the train is a much more charming way to journey) with my faithful pink tutu in tow? Every week, I share with you my latest adventures, my tutu thoughts, and my fashion discoveries on the lovely website www.pink-tutu.com. This week, we're diving deep into Prague, its captivating beauty, and its magical ballet scene.
But first, let's talk about tutus! My latest design is inspired by Prague's vibrant colour palette. Think ruby reds, deep sapphire blues, and a smattering of delicate pastel pink β all blended beautifully into a luxurious pink tutu perfect for gliding across a cobbled dance floor. Speaking of tutus, my new ballet teacher here in Prague is an absolute darling, with a wardrobe of absolutely divine vintage tutus! It's no secret I adore a good vintage tutu, especially when it comes in the most spectacular shade of pink.
Finding Inspiration on the Prague Dance FloorSpeaking of dancing, oh my darling, have you heard of the Czech National Ballet? They are phenomenal. And I was lucky enough to catch a performance of "Sleeping Beauty" at the incredible National Theatre, where the music soared and the ballerinas spun and twirled with such graceful ease, their elegant movements illuminated by the warm, glowing spotlight. I even took inspiration from the breathtaking backdrop for a new tutu design! Just picture it: a deep midnight blue skirt with glittering silver stars twinkling amongst shimmering sequins β a masterpiece inspired by the night sky reflected in the Vltava River.
Prague truly is a ballet lover's dream!
Exploring the Heart of Prague: A Pink Tutu OdysseyThe best thing about visiting a new city is letting the streets guide you β especially with a good ballet-inspired outfit. Yesterday, I ventured into the historic Old Town Square, taking in the breathtaking sight of the stunning Prague Astronomical Clock β a masterpiece of artistry that captures the city's rich heritage. My little pink tutu, a confection of tulle and ribbons, practically danced along with me as I wandered the picturesque alleyways, taking in the cobblestone streets lined with historic buildings that transport you to another era.
While I may be in Prague to follow the dance, shopping for ballet shoes, and getting a good, good dose of ballet history, there's always a special place in my heart for discovering the newest, prettiest pink-inspired fashion pieces! This trip has been no exception! I found the most adorable pair of pale pink velvet shoes (a must-have!), an incredible lace collar reminiscent of Victorian ballerinas, and a breathtaking pale pink tulle skirt. Itβs almost time to head back to Derbyshire, England, where my trusty pony waits, but my pink tutu wardrobe needs some serious reshuffling to accommodate my new purchases.
A Little About Prague and PinkPrague truly lives up to its moniker of the "City of a Hundred Spires". With stunning cathedrals, bridges with captivating stories, and a fairytale vibe that wraps itself around you, I'm feeling wonderfully inspired! From the ornate astronomical clock to the magical Charles Bridge with its unique art sculptures, to the dreamy alleyways hidden behind the ornate historic buildings, I have fallen head over heels for this magnificent city. Prague's artistic heart pulses with a love for beauty β an appreciation that speaks to the very essence of ballet.
As you may have already guessed, my love for pink extends beyond the graceful realm of ballet! From the breathtaking sunsets casting a warm glow over Prague's terracotta roofs, to the dainty rose gardens bursting with life in the park, even to the strawberry ice cream that tastes like heaven, pink is definitely a Prague thing, too. Itβs all so beautifully pink, with hints of pale lavender, buttery yellow and sunshine-filled coral! And when the day is done, itβs a dreamlike fairytale come alive as Prague glitters in the softest pale pink light under the star-strewn sky β and yes, the perfect shade for a dreamy pink tutu to truly come alive!
I hope you enjoyed joining me on my adventures this week. Make sure you stay tuned for next week's blog post as I embark on another exciting journey to the enchanting city of Vienna β you won't want to miss it!
Until next time, keep on dancing, stay fashionable, and remember, always wear a little pink in your heart!
Love,
Emma
