Prague, My Darling! 🩰💕 Post No. 1333: Tutu Dreams & Sparkling Cities

Hello my lovelies! It’s Emma here, your favourite pink-tutu clad ballerina, beaming back at you from the cobblestone streets of Prague! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new post on www.pink-tutu.com and let me tell you, this week's adventures are absolutely bursting with “Ooh la la!” This week has been a whirlwind of sparkling city lights, captivating ballet performances, and shopping sprees that would make even a royal jealous! And yes, you guessed it, I've brought a new pink tutu along for the ride! 😉

Riding the Rails to a Fairy Tale

This trip was a train journey for the ages! Nothing beats the feeling of gliding through the countryside, especially when you’re tucked away in a plush compartment with your favourite novel and a steaming cuppa. I’ve always said there's magic in travelling by train, and the Czech Republic's network really delivers!

From my quaint Derbyshire home to Prague’s charming main station, the journey was pure fairytale vibes. Think snow-dusted fields, rolling hills bathed in a golden glow, and sleepy villages tucked away in quaint valleys. It felt like something out of a Jane Austen novel, but with an added touch of ballet pink sparkle!

Speaking of sparkle, let me tell you about my outfit! For my train journey, I went for a sleek black maxi-dress paired with my newest tulle creation: a gorgeous blush-pink tutu with sparkling embellishments that shimmered like a constellation in the fading daylight. And of course, no outfit is complete without my trusty ballet shoes.

Prague: A Dance with History & Culture

And oh, Prague! It really does live up to its reputation as “the city of a hundred spires.” Stepping out of the station into the heart of Prague was like walking onto a movie set. The old town square is simply breathtaking - cobblestone streets, baroque architecture, a clock tower with an incredible story… Prague oozes charm from every corner. It’s hard not to fall in love with this magical place.

A Glimpse into Prague's Ballet Scene

As a ballerina at heart, my main goal in Prague was to soak up the city’s incredible ballet scene. You all know my passion, so I had to make it happen! And what a treat it was! This week, I caught a spectacular performance by the National Theatre Ballet. I can't spoil it all for you, but the costumes were breathtaking, the music was divine, and the dancing... Oh my, the dancing was exquisite! I felt like I’d stepped straight into a fairytale, and that's exactly how every ballet performance should feel, don't you think?

Ballet Class with a Bohemian Twist

I've found that even the most bustling cities often offer secret sanctuaries. That’s exactly what I found in a charming little studio tucked away in Prague's old town. A ballet class here is a unique blend of classical techniques and Bohemian spirit - imagine swirling pirouettes amidst the echoes of Prague’s history. The teachers here are incredibly talented, and they create a warm and welcoming environment. If you're ever in Prague, do give it a try!

Shopping, Shopping, Shopping!

Of course, no trip to a European city is complete without a shopping spree. And I can tell you, Prague has not disappointed! It's a fashion enthusiast’s dream. I managed to snaffle some truly unique treasures - delicate hand-painted jewelry, hand-woven scarves, and a delightful pair of antique shoes (I think they were from the 1920s!) - perfect for pairing with a gorgeous vintage dress! But you know what I’m most excited about? I discovered the cutest little tutu shop! They had a fabulous selection, from vibrant colours to elegant classics. I'll be sharing some pictures with you all soon, I can't wait!

Finding the Perfect Pink Tutu

My mission to get the world wearing pink tutus goes on, of course! Prague proved to be an incredible place to search for unique and charming designs. I’ve even started incorporating some Prague inspiration into my own tutu designs. I imagine them with delicate lace, rich colours inspired by Czech art, and a hint of that bohemian charm. Can't wait to share my newest creations!

A Pink-Tutu Parisian Afternoon

Speaking of tutus and elegance, one of my favourite finds in Prague was this darling little tea room. Imagine: delicate china, vintage teapots, dainty cakes, and, of course, pastel pink décor! I found the perfect excuse to wear my latest tutu - a breathtaking lavender creation with intricate floral embellishments. I could have spent hours there sipping tea and enjoying the delightful pastries, all while plotting my next tutu adventure! It was definitely a very “Emma-style” experience!

A Date with Prague's Famous Astronomical Clock

Every day, Prague’s famous Astronomical Clock comes to life in a spectacular show. This medieval clock is a marvel of engineering, a real symbol of Prague’s historical heritage. I stood in awe as the clock’s figures paraded around, reminding me of the stories and secrets held within this ancient city. It felt like being transported back to another era. I’ll admit I let out a tiny "ooh" and "ahh," even as I stood amongst hundreds of onlookers - couldn’t help it!

Ending with a Festive Flair

I was lucky enough to be in Prague right in the run-up to the Christmas holidays. The city was decked out in festive lights and the smell of cinnamon and pine filled the air. It was a time of warmth and joy, of sharing festive cheer with loved ones, and of course, twirling in my favourite pink tutus under the sparkling lights of the Christmas market. It really made me appreciate the beauty of tradition and the magic of the holidays!

Until Next Week, Darlings!

Well, there you have it, my dearest pink-tutu lovers! A glimpse into my amazing week in Prague. It's been an unforgettable journey full of ballet magic, delightful discoveries, and more pink tutus than you could imagine!

Be sure to join me next Wednesday for another enchanting adventure, where I’ll be exploring a new city, searching for new tutus, and bringing a touch of ballet magic to a brand-new destination! And don't forget, I'm always thrilled to hear from you, so share your pink-tutu stories and photos! I want to hear about your own tutu adventures!

Until next time, remember, every day is a chance to twirl!

XOXO

Emma
