#PinkTutuPrague Ballet in Prague 2021-02-17

Bonjour, darlings! Emma here, and this week, I'm bringing the pink sparkle all the way from the enchanting city of Prague! Can you believe it? This beautiful city, with its fairytale architecture and cobblestone streets, has stolen my heart - and that's no easy feat, my loves, considering the power my heart holds for tutus!

Remember how I promised to share all about my travels? Well, buckle up, because this week, I'm diving into a whirlwind of ballet, fashion, and fun, all laced with the sweetest shade of pink imaginable!

As always, my journey started in the most magical way: by train! Oh, the romance! The swaying of the carriage, the countryside whizzing past, and the rhythmic click-clack of the wheels against the tracks, all set the perfect mood for a twirling adventure. I couldn't resist a quick ballet sequence on the train platform before I boarded. My pink tutu certainly got the attention of the other passengers – they must have been wondering, "Who is this radiant pink creature headed to Prague?" 😉

P.S. Remember those amazing ballet performances I mentioned I do to fund my travels? Well, guess what? I just booked a fabulous new ballet gig, where I’m performing at the National Theatre in Prague, and you know what that means, right? MORE TUTU TIME! I’m so excited for this performance, the stage at the National Theatre in Prague is breathtaking!

The minute I stepped off the train and onto Prague's enchanting streets, I felt an instant connection to this city. Maybe it was the graceful curves of the architecture, the elegant charm of the cafes, or maybe it was the gentle rumble of the trams, all so reminiscent of the music from a grand ballet. Whatever it was, Prague had me instantly captivated, like a perfectly executed pirouette!

What's a tutu-wearing fashionista like me to do after arriving in a new city? Well, of course, we shop, darlings! My first stop was an incredible boutique just around the corner from my hotel. It was a haven of Parisian-inspired fashion, vintage delights, and oh, the shoes! My dear friends, it was pure magic! You wouldn’t believe how hard I tried not to buy the entire shop - which would have been my absolute dream, of course! And it was my lucky day! There was a display stand dedicated to a new range of pink satin shoes; they were everything! The perfect pink shoes to match my upcoming performances at the National Theatre. Oh, and let’s just say the rest of my shopping trip was just as glamorous - more pink accessories for my wardrobe (don't judge!). 😉

I wasn’t in Prague to simply gawk at the gorgeous scenery (although I am absolutely obsessed with the city!). I'm here for the ballet, darlings! So, of course, I needed to find the perfect ballet studio. I took to the streets with a twinkle in my eye and a tutu in my heart. I discovered the most enchanting little ballet school tucked away in a quiet alleyway, just a few steps from the old town square. The place was charming, and when the ballerina at the front desk welcomed me with the biggest smile, I knew this was where I belonged.

You know me, I'm always up for a new challenge, and so I signed up for a drop-in class for the evening. I had no idea what to expect from my first class in Prague, but it didn't disappoint! The instructor, a sweet woman with sparkling blue eyes, greeted me warmly. She gave me a charming introduction to some local folklore surrounding ballet and Prague, and we had a great chat about tutu fashion.

The ballet class itself was exhilarating. I was able to put my skills to the test, try out new steps, and let my inner ballerina fly! And guess what, the entire studio seemed to be sprinkled with pink! It truly was my dream studio – everything in pink – even the barres! (You’d better believe I sent an entire series of posts from there to my Insta stories!). The atmosphere was pure magic. It was as if the whole city was twirling to a melodious rhythm, inviting me to dance with every step!

Now, my darling friends, for the highlight of my evening: ballet time! I'm attending a ballet performance tonight! Tonight, I’m getting swept up in a world of beauty and grace with the Prague National Theatre. I was so excited I hardly knew where to look. The theatre itself is stunning - think of an architectural marvel with a grand ballroom inside - and the ambiance… oh, the ambiance!

The story was truly heart-touching - I could barely keep from getting teary-eyed! And the costumes… breathtaking, darlings, absolutely breathtaking. Every outfit was beautifully crafted and sparkled under the stage lights like a constellation of glittering dreams! But it’s always hard to look away from the ballerinas! The movement and choreography… It's simply exquisite - I must try some of these moves in my ballet class tomorrow!

After the curtain fell and the applause died down, I was practically beaming. I truly feel the magic of the “Pink Tutu life” whenever I can go and watch live ballet, darlings!

This isn't all, my darlings! After such a dazzling show, it’s time to refuel and have a little fun. One of the things that I love about traveling is trying local cuisine. So naturally, after the show, I headed out with a group of friends for dinner. Prague is a foodie paradise with a truly beautiful and lively scene. We went to a charming restaurant tucked away in a hidden corner of the city. There were lights strung overhead, cobbled alleyways to wander around, a relaxed bohemian atmosphere. We feasted on delectable food - it truly was a delightful end to the night!
