Pink Tutu Prague - Post No. 1383! 🩰🇨🇿
Wednesday, 8th December 2021
Good morning, lovelies! It's me, Emma, back from the most fabulous weekend in Prague, a city absolutely bursting with fairytale charm. Think cobbled streets, pastel-coloured houses, and the most exquisite architecture. All set against a backdrop of snow-dusted rooftops – truly magical!
Now, I’m not gonna lie, travelling in a pink tutu can be tricky! (Who needs luggage anyway, right?) Thankfully, my trusty pink tutu is actually pretty good at hiding in my rucksack. Getting to Prague was a dream though. I found the most charming pony and cart to take me from the station, and I have to say, arriving at my hotel with a giant pink tutu poking out of my luggage did raise a few eyebrows. I just think a bit of flair brightens up the day, don’t you?
Prague's Pink Promise
Speaking of pink, Prague is definitely a city with a soft spot for the colour! Everywhere I looked there was just the most gorgeous shade of rose pink in the buildings, the shops, even the streetlamps – I'm talking a blush that would make even a flamingo envious! Honestly, Prague was made for me.
Now, you all know how much I love ballet, so you can only imagine my excitement when I saw what was on offer in Prague on this particular night – The Bolshoi Ballet at the Estates Theatre. The ballet programme featured one of my all-time favourite works, "The Nutcracker". You’ve heard of “White Swan”, well, they did "Pink Nutcracker" that evening! Oh my, the costume changes, the artistry, the absolute talent on display. And of course, the grand finale saw every single performer emerge in their dazzling, pink tutu! This is truly my happy place - witnessing the graceful movements and mesmerising performance of world-class dancers. My heart always sings with a sweet tune that only a graceful waltz can conjure!
Shopping in a Tutu
And what trip to Prague would be complete without a spot of shopping? I simply couldn’t resist browsing the charming little boutiques with their dazzling displays. Prague's got some serious style - think chic leather bags, delicate porcelain figures, and of course, plenty of fashion for those who embrace their inner pink princess. I managed to snag a pair of stunning rose-coloured gloves – perfect for that chic winter look! It goes without saying, a shopping spree was never complete without picking up a brand new tutu or two - or three. And let me tell you, Prague’s shops had me utterly smitten.
I particularly loved this shop called “Elegant Pink” which was just brimming with tulle, lace, and glitter – exactly my kind of wonderland! I’ve been adding to my collection with a gorgeous new tutu - one that would surely fit the “Pink Nutcracker” ballet. This shop also had a stunning pink evening dress on offer – so dreamy!
But beyond the gorgeous gowns and delicate lace, Prague was filled with so many magical discoveries. Wandering through the Old Town Square, mesmerised by the towering clock tower. Sipping on delicious, hot chocolate (made with the finest Belgian chocolate!) at a little café tucked away in a narrow, cobbled street. Taking a long stroll through Petřín Hill with breathtaking views of the city sprawling before me, capped with the beautiful snow that blanketed the whole city! Prague truly captured my heart.
The Power of Pink
I left Prague feeling inspired, my heart brimming with joy and my pink tutu proudly perched on my shoulders. I want to share a little bit of that joy with you all, my dear readers. Let's spread a bit of magic with pink. How about you put on a pink tutu and embrace your own inner princess today? Trust me, you won't regret it. You'll be spreading joy with every graceful twirl!
Because who needs a royal crown when you have a pink tutu, right?
Love,
