Pink Tutu Prague: A Dance of Delight! (Post #1421)
Hello my lovely tutu-loving friends! It's Emma, your pinkest ballerina, back from a whirlwind week in Prague! This stunning city has been on my tutu-clad to-do list for ages, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
I've been back in Derbyshire for a whole week now, and I'm still buzzing from the Prague experience! The train journey from London was absolutely lovely, I tucked into my book, sipping on my Earl Grey, gazing out the window at the beautiful English countryside whizzing past. And as for my mode of transport in Prague? Well, of course it was a majestic, beautiful white pony! Okay, maybe not literally - although wouldn't that be fabulous?! But I did opt for a little horse-drawn carriage ride around Old Town Square, it was just like being transported back in time!
This week, we're heading back to Prague to relive those magical moments in my memory. Grab a cuppa and settle in, because we're about to take a pink tutu tour through this enchanting city.
Pink-tutu-fied Prague
First things first, I absolutely have to share my outfit with you, my darlings! For this trip, I chose a beautiful pale pink, tiered tulle tutu, oh, so twirly and light! I paired it with a crisp white shirt tucked in for a touch of elegance, and some sweet little silver ballet flats. You can find the link to all of my outfit details on my Instagram, donāt forget to give it a little like and follow for some more pink-tutu inspiration!
Prague just feels like the kind of city where you can really embrace your inner ballerina, and with its cobbled streets and picturesque architecture, you'd be hard-pressed not to pirouette around like a little ballerina bird. I know I couldnāt help it!
A Symphony of Tutus in the National Theatre
Of course, I couldnāt come to Prague without taking in a ballet show, and I am so excited to tell you about the performance I saw at the National Theatre on the 31st of August, oh, it was a dream! The National Theatre itself is an architectural marvel. I have to admit, I was quite starstruck just standing in the courtyard admiring its ornate facade.
The performance, though, that was justā¦ a feast for the senses! We saw āSwan Lakeā which was absolutely captivating. The costumes, the dancers, the music - it all just worked together so beautifully. And of course, the highlight of the night was the iconic āswanā sequence - oh my goodness!
A Little Piece of Prague to Take Home
A visit to Prague wouldn't be complete without a little bit of souvenir shopping, now would it? I managed to find some incredible pieces to add to my tutu collection. Firstly, there was this divine pink tulle scarf I snagged at a tiny little boutique hidden down one of the city's charming cobbled streets - perfect for adding a bit of Prague sparkle to my ballet outfits back home.
Then I stumbled upon the cutest little store that was filled to the brim with beautifully handcrafted Czech glass figurines - think tiny ballerinas in perfect tutus! I just had to pick up one for my desk at home - the perfect reminder of this lovely trip!
Dancing the Days Away in the Czech Republic
Besides ballet performances, Prague offers some delightful diversions to make your trip truly memorable. Hereās a little pink tutu insight into my Prague days, because as much as I love ballet, I also like to soak up a city's local vibes.
- Lunchtime delights: The street food in Prague is divine, especially when you're indulging in their sweet, fruity strudel or sampling their traditional roasted Czech dumplings. Let's be honest, I sampled both - who can resist a little treat when it comes in the form of something delicious and oh-so-charming?
- Tutu-tastic treasures: Shopping is definitely my vice, especially when youāre surrounded by shops filled with stunning local handicrafts and chic bohemian clothing. I particularly loved the vibrant vintage shops tucked away in the narrow lanes of Prague's old town, finding little pink gems. And donāt forget about those pretty trinket shops where I picked up the little ballerinas!
- Taking it slow by the Vltava: The Vltava river running through Prague just invites you to wander along its banks. I opted for a lazy afternoon cruise - taking in the stunning views of the city from the water - perfect for unwinding and simply appreciating the beauty of this gorgeous city.
- Magical evenings: Iād love to recommend The Charles Bridge to watch the city sparkle at sunset, you know I couldnāt resist snapping some fab Instagram-worthy pictures there.
Ballet Inspiration at Every Corner
Prague was simply brimming with inspiration for my next pink tutu adventure! I've got some exciting projects bubbling away in the back of my mind, all thanks to the beauty and grace I witnessed there. Prague, you stole my heart!
