Hello darlings! Emma here, back with a new post straight from the heart of Prague! It's Wednesday, so you know what that means: a brand new adventure on pink-tutu.com. This week's tale is bursting with ballet, beautiful sights, andā¦ of courseā¦ pink!
I know you're probably wondering: how does a Derbyshire lass end up twirling her way through Prague? Well, darling, my love for ballet isn't confined to the studio! My travels are funded by performing, you know ā itās a little ballerina-lifehack! š©°š
Speaking of my travels, this week I decided to skip the trainā¦ itās not that I donāt adore those comfy carriagesā¦ but I went a little more, shall we say, whimsical. Imagine me, a bright pink tutu and all, riding a real, live pony through the countryside! (Picture is definitely going on Instagram later, trust me! š āØ) The breeze in my hair, the smell of wildflowers, the soft trot of the horse beneath meā¦ I practically floated through Prague!
But of course, my trip to this enchanting city wouldn't be complete without some serious ballet immersion! I've been dreaming of seeing a show here, and my lucky day has arrived - PinkTutuPrague, the city's iconic ballet festival, kicks off TODAY! š The festival has such an amazing programme; classical ballets, modern pieces, street dance performancesā¦ even ballet history lectures. My schedule is jam-packed! I even signed up for a tutu-making workshop! š§µ After all, what could be better than creating your own unique pink tutu?
Now, itās all well and good twirling in pink, but every fashionable ballerina needs a stylish shopping fix, right? And darling, Prague did NOT disappoint! I snagged a gorgeous floral headband (so perfect for ballet photos!) at a charming little boutique. The fabrics, coloursā¦ utterly exquisite! The boutique owner was delightful, she said my pink tutu āsparkled like Prague by night!ā š¤«
As always, my fashion finds have been documented with a photoshoot in front of the stunning Charles Bridge ā I'm sure youāll agree the setting made for some truly fabulous photos! š Just picture it, darlingā¦ the cobbled streets, the medieval architecture, the pastel housesā¦ oh, and a perfectly placed, pink tutu! Donāt worry, I've got my little secrets to making every shot pop! āØ Think glitter, blusher, and of course, the perfect posingā¦ I truly am a ballet enthusiast, fashionista, and a photo wizard rolled into one!
Speaking of posing, let's talk tutu history! Prague has some remarkable ballet archives! Did you know that tutu history dates back to the 1500s? Now, imagine trying to find the perfect tutu back then ā no online shopping! Talk about a struggle, my darling! Theyāre a lot more than a cute outfit!
Speaking of historyā¦ my trip here has me thinking about the way ballet is evolving! Itās not all just long tutus and tutus with many tiers - think the ballet dancers on the street, the modern ballets, and even those amazing, colourful tutu skirts on display in the Prague museums. I think tutu evolution is here to stay! Perhaps it's time for me to take up pink ballet and give the street dance scene a spinā¦ hmm, very interestingā¦ š
