Hey gorgeous ballet bunnies! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-clad traveller, writing to you live from the breathtaking city of Prague!
It feels amazing to be back in the heart of Europe, surrounded by stunning architecture and cobbled streets. As you know, my motto is “life is a ballet,” and I’m already pirouetting my way through Prague's charm. And naturally, my faithful pink tutu is trailing along with me!
This week, my quest for the perfect tutu ensemble led me to a beautiful boutique nestled amidst the Prague's vibrant shopping streets. Think exquisite silks, hand-stitched embellishments, and the softest tulle you could ever imagine. And oh my goodness, the colours! It felt like a tutu rainbow! But, in true pink-tutu fashion, I was drawn to a fluffy cloud of the most vibrant blush pink. It twirled with the most elegant sway, almost as if it were alive. The moment I stepped into it, I knew – this is the one for my upcoming performances in Prague.
A Day at the Theatre: A Tête-à-Tête with Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake
Wednesday evening took me to the stunning National Theatre, where the legendary Swan Lake is being performed. It was quite simply magical. The theatre itself, with its majestic facade and grand interior, transported me to a bygone era of elegance and grandeur.
The dancers were utterly mesmerising, bringing the classic story of Odette and Siegfried to life. The graceful movements, the heartbreaking emotions, and the sheer brilliance of the ballet itself left me breathless. The ethereal tutus (and, I couldn't help but notice, one in a gloriously vibrant pink!) made the ballet all the more enchanting.
Pink Tutus & Pony Tales in the Czech Countryside
As always, I wanted to delve into the local culture. Prague is surrounded by a beautiful countryside, perfect for a bit of fairytale travel. So, this weekend, I set off on a journey with the most adorable little pony! He’s the fluffiest thing, with a mane that could rival my pink tutu!
We galloped through sun-drenched meadows and by charming little villages, where the people welcomed us with friendly smiles and, I swear, a hint of wonder in their eyes. It seemed like the locals were enjoying the pink tutu spectacle as much as I was.
After all, wouldn't you agree that a bit of pink joy makes life just a little bit more magical?
Prague: A Ballerina's Paradise
My week in Prague has been full of wonder. This city pulsates with creativity, passion, and the same sense of elegant grace that defines the art of ballet. I found inspiration in the historical architecture, the bohemian art scene, and the incredible spirit of its people.

Here’s a little peek into what's in store for my next pink tutu adventure:
- Exploring the Charles Bridge: This stunning medieval bridge, a landmark of Prague, begs for a graceful waltz. I’m envisioning a flowy, light-as-air pink tutu that swirls in the wind as I twirl across its historic stone.
- Charming cafes and pastries: Prague is a haven for sweet treats. I can already picture myself enjoying a decadent slice of pastry while sipping a frothy cappuccino, all dressed in a shimmering pink tulle tutu that dances with every movement.
- A romantic river cruise: The Vltava River adds a romantic touch to Prague, and I imagine sailing along it under the glow of city lights, wearing a tutu as enchanting as the view.
- Ballet History: Unveiling the Prague Ballet: There’s nothing like digging into the roots of an art form. I’m so excited to explore the history of ballet in Prague. The Czech Republic has a rich dance heritage, and I'm keen to see what makes the local ballet so unique.
