Prague: Where Dreams Dance in Pink Tutu Heaven (Post #1496)

Hello lovelies! It’s your favourite tutu-clad travel bunny, Emma, hopping back onto your screens from the heart of magical Prague! This week's post is a total whirlwind of ballet, bubbles, and blooming boulevards – think the most elegant ballet in the most gorgeous city with a side of pastel-coloured delights.

It's Wednesday again, and you know what that means – it's Pink Tutu Prague time! Grab a cuppa, settle into your comfiest spot, and let's embark on a fabulous journey. Remember to take lots of notes – there's going to be some serious pink-tutu inspiration to steal!

Prague: A City Steeped in History and Pink Tutus!

Prague. It’s one of those cities that whispers secrets. Stepping onto its cobbled streets is like turning the pages of a beautifully illustrated fairytale. This is where ancient architecture blends effortlessly with a modern bohemian spirit, a place where every corner is a masterpiece just begging to be admired. And let me tell you, my dear readers, this city is simply begging for pink tutus!

This trip began like many of my grand adventures - on a train! (Don’t worry, there were no uncomfortable delays, just picture-perfect views flashing by). It was a dream come true – whisking away to a new city on wheels with my faithful travel companion – my gorgeous new tutu. It was the perfect blush pink with delicate shimmering silver embroidery, you see, so I knew Prague had to be next on my pink-tutu odyssey!

I've spent the past few days immersing myself in everything Prague has to offer. Wandering through the Charles Bridge as the sun sets, marveling at Prague Castle, and getting completely lost in the maze of charming alleys of Old Town. There’s something utterly magical about Prague – it feels like the world has just paused, letting you savor every delicious detail.

A Tutu's Delight: Ballet Dreams Come True!

But Prague wasn’t just about enchanting cobbled streets and delectable pastry shops (though there were plenty of both!). The highlight of my trip? A-ha! The most exquisite ballet performance I've ever seen! The National Theatre, with its opulent neo-renaissance charm, served as the backdrop for an evening filled with elegance, grace, and enough dramatic pirouettes to make even the most seasoned ballet aficionado gasp.

Honestly, it was like the very heart of ballet magic pulsating through the entire theater! And me, sitting there in my delicate blush-pink tutu – it felt as if I was meant to be a part of this vibrant, emotional story unfolding before my eyes.

Oh, darling readers, this wasn’t just any ordinary ballet. This was “Giselle” – the story of a beautiful peasant girl who tragically falls in love with a noble count, leading to a journey filled with heartbreak, deceit, and of course, a spellbinding performance by the exquisite ballerina (did you know the lead dancer trained for years just to capture the grace of the piece? It takes real dedication!)

Even though my tutu is from Derbyshire – you’d think I was right there onstage! Whimsy, darling! You just have to feel the drama of a real classic – I almost felt myself dancing on stage – imagine my surprise, it was very emotional! And don’t get me started on the tutus - I even met the lead ballerina's costume designer afterwards, a wonderfully stylish lady who gave me such helpful advice about tutus (it’s not as simple as it seems!).

Prague's Fashion Finds: A Shopping Spree fit for a Princess

No ballet journey is complete without a bit of wardrobe pampering, especially when exploring a city that’s as fashionable as Prague. I admit, my bags are getting quite full – (can you ever have too many tutus?).

Let's talk boutiques, my lovelies. Prague is a haven for independent shops overflowing with exquisite clothes and accessories. I’ve stumbled upon the most breathtaking stores, each offering something unique, from antique lace trimmed gowns and velvet jackets to delicate pink statement earrings (naturally!).

Did I tell you about the boutique that had a whole wall dedicated to shoes?! Every shade imaginable, each more breathtaking than the last, with little delicate bows on them! Every time I visited that shop it took all of my willpower not to purchase every pair! Honestly, darling, the shoe-love was a bit much!

There’s this one store near the Old Town Square, a hidden gem that even has an amazing vintage tutu collection – it has become my happy place! Honestly, every time I'm near Prague, you'll find me rummaging for new, gorgeous tutus there! (There are actually two in the area - I love that place!). I'm planning a return visit tomorrow to pick up some more pieces - (this tutu shopping is getting a bit serious!).

But what are your favourite places to shop for tutus? Let me know in the comments, darling!

More Adventures in Tutu Land!

This has just been a snippet of my adventures in Prague – oh darling! I could go on forever! I’ve had an afternoon coffee at a cozy little cafe nestled in a charming cobblestone street, and even explored the local markets where the freshest cheeses, spices, and delectable bread are sold (a little insider secret, these stalls offer incredible pink candies in perfect sugar-spun balls! ). I even found a lovely ballet-inspired book store – talk about a literary wonderland, there was everything – ballet poetry and fairy tale classics! (Don’t worry, my dearest, I already snapped some pictures for the gram – coming soon!)

Stay tuned for my next Prague adventures, darling! ( I've already booked a little tour for tomorrow of the castle - I hear it's like stepping right into a fairytale – how incredible is that?)

So until next week, remember – you don’t need wings to soar! Put on your pinkest tutu, and get ready to be swept away by the magic of life!

Sending lots of pink-tutu love,

Emma xoxoxo
