Hello my darling tutufans! 🩰💕 It's Wednesday again, which means a new blog post, and boy do I have a treat for you today! I'm writing this from a charming little cafe in Prague, the scent of freshly brewed coffee and the sweet smell of warm apple strudel swirling in the air around me. This city has been a total dream, full of cobblestone streets, fairytale architecture, and, of course, breathtaking ballet performances!
This trip has been fuelled by a combination of my beloved ballet performances (I did a couple of extra gigs at a fancy charity gala back in Derby - my new, sparkly emerald tutu was a real hit!), and a little bit of travel fund magic. You see, travelling is my true passion - I simply cannot resist the allure of exploring new places, indulging in delightful fashion finds, and discovering new, exciting ballet experiences.
A Train and a Pony? A Whimsical Journey!
My journey here was quite the adventure! First, there was the train, the best way to soak in the scenery - particularly if you're riding through a beautiful, rural landscape like I did. Imagine - rolling fields of wildflowers, charming villages with red-tiled roofs, and the sun painting the clouds with shades of orange and pink (my favourite colours!).
Then came the delightful twist – a pony ride through the streets of Prague! That's right, a pony! My favourite part of visiting new cities is getting to know the little quirks, and riding through Prague on a fluffy white pony, past charming shops and beautiful fountains, was a real highlight. The people smiled, the children gasped in delight, and my heart practically danced!
Prague Ballet: A Feast for the Eyes!
Of course, no visit to Prague would be complete without taking in the exquisite ballet performances they are known for. Last night, I had the absolute privilege of watching the Swan Lake at the iconic National Theatre. It was utterly divine! I particularly enjoyed the scene where the dancers took on the roles of the swans. The movement, the graceful transitions, the captivating story told without a single spoken word – it was pure magic! After the show, I treated myself to a warm cup of hot chocolate (and, naturally, a slice of apple strudel - always a good decision!) as I watched the crowds exit the theatre. The atmosphere, buzzing with delight and admiration for the performers, was truly exhilarating.
Speaking of my wardrobe, let's talk tutus, my dearest readers! I just couldn't leave home without my collection of beautiful tutus. I chose my dusty rose tulle tutu with silver sequined embroidery for last night's show. It really complimented the elegance of the ballet and, of course, looked incredibly fabulous (a winning combo!). I think the delicate sparkle and flowing layers definitely gave my performance a touch of Prague charm.
The Magic of Fashion: Finding My Inner Bohemian!
Today, I decided to fully immerse myself in the local scene, shopping my way through the maze of streets in Prague’s Old Town. My shopping bag is already bursting with vintage floral dresses, a pair of whimsical velvet boots (pink of course!) , and the most gorgeous embroidered tutu top – think bohemian chic meets whimsical ballet charm. Prague really does have something for everyone, and for a ballet-loving fashionista like myself, it’s a total wonderland. I am already planning to use these treasures in future posts (perhaps a "Pink Tutu Prague Chic" theme for next week!).
