Pink Tutu Prague - Post #1519: Ballet Bliss and Bohemian Beauty 🩰

Hello my lovelies!

This week, I'm bringing you a double dose of tutu magic, straight from the heart of Prague! This magnificent city, with its fairytale architecture and vibrant culture, has truly stolen my heart. And yes, I did arrive by train - the romance of the tracks is impossible to resist, especially when wearing a fluffy pink tutu!

The last week has been a whirlwind of breathtaking beauty, enchanting ballet performances, and a dash of pink-tinted Bohemian flair. You're going to want to get a cup of tea (pink, of course), a cosy cushion, and snuggle in as I take you on a journey through my week in Prague.

Tutu Time in Prague!

Before I delve into all the delicious details, let's talk about what brings me to this exquisite city - Ballet! 🩰 My week has been overflowing with ballet bliss, starting with the National Theatre's exquisite production of "Swan Lake" - oh my goodness, the choreography, the costumes, the sheer artistry - it left me utterly spellbound! 🦒 Imagine delicate tutus, shimmering under the stage lights, ballerinas flitting like graceful swans across the stage. Pure magic.

My journey through Prague's ballet world also took me to the enchanting National Theatre's Opera House. I was transported by their captivating rendition of "The Nutcracker" - so heartwarming, so festive, so perfect for this season. The grand decor, the live orchestra, and the sheer wonder of the ballet experience truly brought back my inner child. πŸŽ„

Pink Tutu Travels

Prague is a city begging to be explored on foot, which is exactly what I did, in all my pink tutu glory. Each cobblestone street and quaint alleyway was a visual delight. I even spotted a lovely little shop selling exquisite hand-painted ceramics - it reminded me of the vintage ballerina figures I have back home. And, naturally, I found the most incredible shop brimming with tutus of every shade, length, and style imaginable. Did you know that there are tutus made from feathers? This trip is truly a ballerina's paradise!

But it's not just about tutus (although I must confess, it's largely about tutus!), Prague has captured my heart with its charming blend of old-world charm and modern vibrancy. I've been soaking up the beauty of Prague's medieval castles, wandering through bustling markets overflowing with handmade treasures, and getting lost in the captivating artistry of the local museums.

Speaking of artistry, my darling friend Eleanor joined me in Prague this week! We've had the most wonderful time sharing shopping sprees for sparkly accessories (I just had to snag a pair of crystal earrings for our next ballet performance!), exploring the city's hidden gems, and enjoying divine dinners overlooking the enchanting city skyline. We even stumbled upon a stunning rose garden - just picture perfectly pink roses with the setting sun in the background! It was a magical moment that I captured in a hundred photographs, of course. πŸ˜‰

A World of Ballet in Prague

Did you know that Prague's ballet scene goes far beyond the National Theatre? This week, we also enjoyed an intimate performance at the PalackΓ½ Theatre by a smaller ballet company, and a wonderfully charming ballet demonstration by local children. Seeing the raw talent and dedication, the love for ballet bubbling up in the next generation, it truly warmed my heart. And don't even get me started on the absolutely stunning dance academy with its vintage murals! This city really breathes ballet!

A Touch of Prague Flair

Of course, no trip to Prague is complete without a taste of local culture! We sampled the most delicious goulash, strolled along the banks of the Vltava River, and reveled in the city's vibrant night life, which included a mesmerizing open-air concert with traditional Czech music. The energy of Prague is electrifying, especially in the evenings, when the city lights come alive with music, laughter, and the spirit of adventure.

To Tutu or Not to Tutu

Throughout this journey, I've been receiving lots of lovely questions from you - my devoted Tutu followers - on my 'How to wear a tutu in everyday life' philosophy. It's so lovely that my tutu journey is inspiring so many of you. I'm determined to spread the love of ballet and tutus around the world. And it all starts with a simple pink tutu and a heart full of joy! πŸ˜‰ Whether it's twirling down a Parisian street, attending a classical concert, or simply heading out for brunch with your friends, I'm a firm believer that a pink tutu is the perfect finishing touch. And don't forget - there's a tutu out there for every body! It's all about finding your style and embracing the joy of dance!

Next week

That brings my Prague adventure to a close, but don't worry, my lovelies, there's much more tutu-tastic content on its way. Join me next week as I head to Vienna! πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ή You know me - I'm all about expanding my ballet horizons, and Vienna, with its world-famous opera house, promises to be a true ballet extravaganza! I can't wait to share all the excitement with you!

Sending you all lots of twirling love,

Emma xx
