Hello lovelies! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, back from a whirlwind trip to Prague, a city that's stolen my heart! As always, it's Wednesday, so buckle up for another exciting adventure, because I'm about to spill the tea (or should I say, the Pilsner?) on all the pretty, pink, and positively magical things I discovered in the City of a Hundred Spires.
Tutu Tales from Derbyshire to Prague
Let's rewind to a crisp Derbyshire morning, where I was doing some early morning pirouettes at my favourite ballet studio (still working on those triple pirouettes, darling!). Suddenly, I was overcome with a wave of wanderlust, and a yearning for an adventure filled with cobblestones, Czech pastries, and, of course, some ballet! I had the perfect plan. A train trip to Prague for a weekend of ballet bliss! Now, anyone who knows me knows I love a good train journey, especially in my favourite shade of pink (naturally!). With a whimsical mix of excitement and pink-tinted glasses, I boarded the train, tutu-ready to explore a new corner of the world.
Prague: A City for Pink Tutu Lovers!
Prague was like a fairytale! Think charming, winding streets lined with pastel-hued houses, and towering spires reaching for the heavens. As I sashayed through the Old Town Square, I felt like a ballerina on a stage, every turn of my head revealing a new hidden gem, every click of my ballet flats against the cobblestones echoing a waltz of history and enchantment. I loved the vibrant mix of traditional architecture and modern art installations, it was the perfect backdrop for a pink tutu (even if I did receive a few curious glances - I never let them deter me from my mission to make the world pink!).
Pink Tutu Delights: Ballet & Beyond
The heart of my Prague adventure was, of course, the ballet. And Prague truly delivered! I stumbled upon the National Theatre, a masterpiece of architecture, and witnessed the sheer talent of Czech dancers in "Giselle" - such exquisite technique and artistry! My inner ballerina did a little shimmy of pure delight. It's incredible how the elegance of classical ballet speaks a language we all understand, regardless of borders.
Pink Tutu & Shopping Spree
Prague's streets were overflowing with fashion treasures! From vintage boutiques offering timeless styles, to contemporary shops showcasing cutting-edge trends, I was spoilt for choice. My credit card (ahem, the "ballet budget", let's be real) did some serious work, but it was a worthy investment, I promise! I discovered a tiny antique store overflowing with old dance shoes and a truly magnificent tutu made of silk - vintage pink, of course! Imagine my delight! I have a feeling this one is destined for a special ballet performance (hopefully in front of the Eiffel Tower, dreams do come true, right?).
Pink Tutu & Foodie Adventures
If there's one thing I love as much as ballet, it's indulging in delicious food. Prague is a haven for culinary adventures! From traditional Czech cuisine to gourmet restaurants, my tastebuds went on a journey of their own. And did I mention the sweets?! Think delectable trdelníky (those delicious pastries that are perfect with whipped cream!) and creamy vanilla pudink (think dreamy dessert!), the kind that make you forget about all those pirouettes!
Pink Tutu Travels by Pony
Now, Prague has a little secret... well, maybe not so secret if you've ever been to Prague before. There are adorable little ponies! They're perfect for a magical sightseeing adventure. Just imagine me, with a rosy blush on my cheeks and my pink tutu blowing in the breeze, riding a pony through the quaint cobblestone streets! And to make things extra pink-tastic, they're not just any ponies, they are pink ponies! Honestly, how magical is that?!
The Pink Tutu Mission: Spreading the Love
As my Prague journey came to an end, I realised that it's not just about the pretty buildings, the tasty food, or the graceful ballet dancers, it's about sharing that joy with the world. We should all be bold enough to embrace the colour pink and dance through life with the same grace and confidence. I'm hoping this blog inspires you all to step out of your comfort zones and spread the pink tutu love wherever you go!
