Prague, My Love: Pink Tutu in the City of a Hundred Spires - Blog Post #1574

Hello, darlings! It's Wednesday, and you know what that means? Time for another post from yours truly, Emma, the pink tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed adventurer!

Today, I'm bringing you sunshine and magic straight from Prague, a city that's utterly stolen my heart. Imagine cobbled streets lined with colourful buildings, a river sparkling in the sunlight, and the scent of roasted chestnuts in the air. It's like stepping into a fairytale!

I arrived in Prague just last week, after a truly charming train journey (because, honestly, who needs a boring plane ride when you can be whisked across the continent on a plush train with endless views!). As I stepped off the carriage, the first thing I noticed was the energy – it’s alive and humming, full of laughter, stories, and the excitement of discovery.

Of course, being the fashionable ballerina I am, I had to choose my perfect outfit for Prague. What else but a whimsical pink tutu? This one is a dreamy confection of silk and tulle, with a blush-toned lace bodice and sparkling crystals. I couldn't help but twirl a little on the cobbled platform, the delicate tulle swaying with every pirouette.

Speaking of twirling, I have been doing a lot of it. I found the most exquisite ballet school hidden in a tiny courtyard, a haven of graceful movements and soaring music. The teachers, a delightful pair of ladies, welcomed me with open arms (and a little chuckle when they saw my pink tutu, which I, of course, insisted on wearing to class). Their classes are a blend of classic techniques and playful improvisations, leaving me feeling inspired and empowered.

My time in Prague has been a whirlwind of wonder. I've explored the Charles Bridge, where artists and musicians fill the air with melody and creativity, marvelled at the beauty of the Prague Castle (a grand testament to architectural brilliance), and been completely enchanted by the charming Old Town Square, with its iconic astronomical clock and colourful buildings.

Speaking of colourful, I've been on a shopping spree, of course! The city is overflowing with boutique shops and artisan markets, each bursting with unique and delightful treasures. I snagged a pair of beautiful handcrafted earrings, adorned with intricate Bohemian glasswork, a flowing linen dress in a shade of lavender I simply couldn't resist, and a vintage music box playing "Swan Lake" (the most exquisite, nostalgic sound!)

But, my dearest readers, Prague wouldn't be Prague without its world-class ballet performances. And today is a day I've been looking forward to for months – a night of enchanting grace at the #PinkTutuPrague Ballet. The National Theatre has promised a production of "Swan Lake", with a breathtaking setting and some of the world’s finest ballerinas. You better believe I'll be taking notes on the exquisite costumes, the flawless choreography, and of course, capturing it all on my Instagram. Follow me at @PinkTutuEmma for some behind-the-scenes peek into the magic!

Prague is a city that whispers of romance, art, and endless possibilities. It's a city that welcomes every colour, every form of expression, every beating heart. And, I have to say, it has welcomed my pink tutu with open arms (well, maybe a few raised eyebrows – but that’s all part of the fun, right?).

So, if you're ever in search of an unforgettable escape, a city bursting with beauty, and a sense of pure magic, make Prague your next stop. And who knows? You might even spot me twirling through the cobbled streets, spreading the message of joy and colour, one pink tutu at a time.

Until next Wednesday, dear readers,

Emma xo
