Hello my darling tutu-twirling friends! It's Emma here, writing to you from the enchanting city of Prague! As you know, I simply adore a good ballet, and Prague has such a rich history of dance and theatre – and that, my lovelies, is a combination simply made for pink tutus.
This week's post is all about my adventures in Prague – a city that’s got a real "whimsical fairytale" feel to it. Just picture cobblestone streets, golden-domed churches, and charming bridges, all framed by the shimmering Vltava River – pure magic! And what better way to experience such beauty than with a pink tutu, naturally!
Pink Tutu Prague – The Itinerary
I've been flitting about the city like a little ballerina on tiptoes, soaking it all in. Here's a glimpse of my Prague pink tutu agenda, with some little tips for you too:
- Wednesday Morning: Shopping Spree! I just can't resist a bit of retail therapy, and Prague didn't disappoint. I'm already dreaming of how I can style this gorgeous blush pink tulle skirt I found at the fabulous "Delikatesy" – it's a must-have! The shop assistants told me it's the perfect "Prague" pink, just like the blush on the old city buildings – and you can't argue with that!
Tip: * The *Delikatesy shops around Prague have beautiful things – some even specialise in vintage items.
- Wednesday Afternoon: Ballet Bliss at the National Theatre I've had my eye on a performance of the "Sleeping Beauty" for ages. Prague is famous for its opera and ballet and I couldn’t miss the chance to see it! The building itself is absolutely breathtaking, all golden architecture and opulent grandeur – perfect for my new tutu skirt! And of course, the performance was a masterpiece of swirling, graceful movement and pure enchantment. My heart skipped a beat when Aurora, the Princess, woke up from her enchanted sleep – just magical!
Tip: Book your tickets well in advance, especially for popular performances. There's nothing worse than missing out on a show!
Pink Tutu Style: I wore my new blush pink tulle skirt with a dainty lavender-coloured ballet top and my favourite pink satin ballet shoes. And of course, I had to pair it with a beautiful hairpiece with delicate pearls – it's a true princess vibe, darling!
- Wednesday Evening: A Little Stroll on the Charles Bridge As dusk settled, I wandered over the charming Charles Bridge. It was packed with tourists, street artists, and even musicians playing their heart out. There’s a vibrant energy in this place, with its stunning gothic architecture – even the stones are enchanting.
Tip: Make sure to take in the spectacular sunset views of the Vltava river from the bridge. And keep your eyes peeled for the fascinating statues of saints along the bridge, each with a unique story to tell!
- Wednesday Night: Dinner and Cocktails Prague’s Old Town Square is just begging for a little twirl – especially at night, lit up like a Christmas card! We enjoyed a lovely meal, with a glass of delicious Bohemian wine. You wouldn’t believe the flavours! My heart skipped a beat with the view of the magical clocktower, especially when its astronomical clock chimed! The clock’s moving figures are a whimsical spectacle - and it made me feel like a little ballerina myself!
Tip: Try traditional Czech dishes - they're simply delicious! And remember to check out the astronomical clock, but make sure you’re there on the hour to catch its lively spectacle!
Pink Tutu and Prague – A Love Story
Prague is a true delight – all medieval magic and enchanting streets – I could easily lose myself in its cobblestone maze and romantic atmosphere! But what really makes the city truly special, is that the ballet and theatre traditions of the city are just as stunningly vibrant. The art is part of the soul of this charming place. And I think we could all learn from that!
If you’re ever looking for a break from your routine and a little fairytale inspiration, I can’t recommend Prague highly enough. And of course, your pink tutu will fit right in – don't forget to bring it along for your adventures!
