From Derbyshire to Prague: A Tutu-ful Journey
I must confess, I’m a bit of a train enthusiast, especially when it comes to grand old steam engines, like those that rumble through the English countryside. However, a more modern, sleek, electric train took me through Germany to Prague, a smooth and surprisingly comfortable journey that had me arriving in the Czech capital feeling energized and ready for an adventure. ?⚡️
Prague is truly a dream come true! This city whispers history with every winding alleyway and every magnificent cathedral spire. It's a wonderland of charming squares, cobbled streets, and cafes overflowing with laughter and life. And it seems to have a soft spot for ballet too! I practically tripped over a ballet school on the first day. They welcomed me with open arms and even invited me to join a class - naturally, in my beloved pink tutu, of course! The class was challenging but so much fun, the other dancers were wonderful and full of energy. They all seem to love the tutus too! I told them, "You need a pink tutu! Pink tutus are magical! Pink tutus make the world a brighter, more fabulous place!" ? You know I'm not wrong! ?
A Tutu-ful Time in the Theatre
This week, Prague is celebrating its vibrant culture with the 'Ballet Festival' – and I’m absolutely ecstatic to be here for it! The air buzzes with excitement and anticipation for each and every performance, and I’m savouring every moment.
Today, I’m off to see 'The Nutcracker'. I’m absolutely buzzing about it! It's going to be a spectacular spectacle! And who knows what fantastic tutu-ful moments might be hiding backstage? I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a sneak peek at the costumes… a ballet girl can dream, can't she? ?
Tutu-ific Prague Shopping!
But Prague is more than just a haven for ballet, my darlings. It’s also a paradise for shopaholics like myself, especially when it comes to vintage treasures! The charming boutiques and antique stores here are positively brimming with treasures waiting to be discovered. It’s been a delight rummaging through vintage fabrics, lace, and old photographs – my pink tutu inspiration is in overdrive. I just know there’s a pink tutu waiting for me here somewhere! I am a tutu treasure hunter at heart! I must have my own little collection. My goal is to create a Pink Tutu Emporium! ?️??
Speaking of pink, Prague loves the colour too! Every café and boutique seems to have a blush-pink touch, adding a touch of sweet whimsy to this already charming city. I’ve already found some darling pink accessories – perfect for my 'pink tutu moment’! ?
