Hello lovelies! It’s Emma, your resident pink tutu aficionado, and I’m positively thrilled to be writing to you from the cobbled streets of Prague! Yes, darling, this pink tutu has finally touched down in the heart of Europe. And it's even more fabulous than I imagined.
This week, I'm writing from my charming little hotel, its windows overlooking a quaint courtyard where I can almost hear the delicate strains of a violin serenading the city.
A Tutu Tale: Prague in Pink
It all started with a flurry of pink feather boas, a whispered “bonjour” to my darling French bulldog, Jacques (who, sadly, isn't able to travel with me on this adventure - a bit of a logistical hurdle, you see!), and a heartfelt "au revoir" to the beautiful Derbyshire countryside where I spent my childhood twirling. The train journey was delightful - I even managed to convince a fellow passenger to wear a pink tutu for a spontaneous impromptu performance (that’s what you get when you travel with a pink tutu blogger, darling!) I've never met a more charming, tutu-loving bunch than the British.
My trip to Prague is a well-deserved reward after a whirlwind month of performances. Remember that "Giselle" I choreographed in Nottingham? Well, it sold out! Now I’m ready to soak in the magic of Prague, with its historical charm, breathtaking architecture, and of course, its vibrant ballet scene.
Pink Tutus on the Charles Bridge
This morning, I spent an enchanting hour strolling across the Charles Bridge, the sunlight glinting off the Vltava River. This bridge is a must-visit! Not only for the historical significance (who doesn't love a bit of medieval magic!), but for the endless opportunity for stunning photographs - my pink tutu looks utterly radiant against the backdrop of the Prague skyline!
Dancing the Day Away
Prague’s dance scene is absolutely incredible. This evening, I’ll be attending the National Theatre's stunning rendition of "La Sylphide." (Darling, it's one of my absolute favourite ballets - the costumes, the romance, and of course, the ethereal grace of the ballet.) This is exactly what I come for - to be completely absorbed in the story, to lose myself in the beauty and artistry of the movement.

Tutu History on a Cobbled Path
Did you know Prague boasts a fascinating ballet history? My favourite part? Discovering the history of Prague’s dance scene, right at my fingertips. You won’t believe it, but the National Theatre has a phenomenal ballet archives, bursting with intriguing costumes and intriguing stories about the evolution of dance in the Czech Republic!
The architecture alone, my dear readers, is breathtaking. Imagine, if you will, elegant turrets, romantic arches, and cobbled streets that could have stepped straight out of a fairytale - truly magical!
Finding Pink Fashion
Prague's shopping scene has completely enchanted me. This city's design aesthetic is oh-so-elegant and timeless. Imagine my delight when I discovered a charming little boutique brimming with luxurious pink tulle skirts, silk scarves, and even pink leather ballet flats. A girl’s gotta get her fix of fashion, right?
I have a particular weakness for vintage shops, so I’ll be hunting down some pre-loved treasures and I will definitely update you on my finds - they may just inspire some of your own fabulous ballet-themed looks!
Next Stop: Pink Tutus and Pastry!
This city's love affair with delectable pastries is just as sweet as its ballet performances. And there is no way I can leave without savouring a piece (or five!) of that glorious Prague cake - an intricate masterpiece of layered hazelnut and whipped cream, and a sprinkle of ... pink! Of course.

So, that's my life right now, my loves. From dazzling ballet performances to discovering beautiful historical treasures and (my favourite part) all those dreamy fashion finds - I am absolutely smitten with Prague.
