Prague: A Fairytale in Pink, Post #1663

Wednesday, 21st April 2027

Hello darlings! It’s Emma here, bringing you a burst of pink straight from the cobbled streets of Prague. Oh, what a dream of a city! This truly is the place where fairy tales come to life, with its medieval architecture, charming cafes, and, of course, its vibrant ballet scene!

I absolutely adore Prague. It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of: whimsical, romantic, and absolutely brimming with culture. But most importantly, it’s a city that just screams “pink tutu” to me. The pastel-hued houses, the delicate wrought ironwork, the intricate mosaic decorations – it all adds up to a breathtaking symphony of beauty that just makes me want to twirl!

Now, if you’re anything like me, you already know the magical world of the tutu goes way beyond the dance floor. It’s about embracing your inner ballerina, embracing whimsy and a love for the finer things in life. And trust me, this city is the perfect place to indulge in a little ballet-inspired extravagance!

The Pink Palace of My Dreams

My little Prague haven is a delightful little boutique hotel called “The Pink Flamingo.” Imagine my delight! From the moment I stepped inside, I felt like I’d entered a ballet dream, complete with a vibrant pink façade, mirrored walls that shimmered like a thousand twinkling stars, and a staff as sweet as honey and just as ready to spoil their guests rotten! My room is like stepping into a whimsical fairy tale, decorated with soft pink silks, luxurious velvet drapes, and a giant four-poster bed. Oh, how I have been indulging in day-dreams while curled up in a giant pile of satin cushions, penning this very blog post.

A Day in Prague: Pink Palace to Prague's National Theatre

My days in Prague are filled with pink-tinted adventures, a delicious mix of art, culture, and of course, shopping! The city is a shopper’s paradise – an eclectic mix of charming vintage boutiques, world-famous brands, and everything in between. Today, I've been making the most of my time here to indulge in a spot of retail therapy, finding a darling vintage ballet slipper broach and a pink sequined bolero – just perfect for my ballet inspired ensembles.

But Prague’s true heart lies in its vibrant cultural scene. Today I treated myself to a spectacular ballet performance at the National Theatre – the absolute jewel in Prague’s crown. You'd be amazed how stunning the venue is, imagine an 19th-century architectural masterpiece that is just begging to be twirled in! The entire theater felt like a gilded birdcage filled with vibrant colour and life! Oh, the thrill of being part of something so alive and passionate, watching graceful figures dancing across the stage in an absolute flurry of pinks and lilacs. This performance was pure ballet bliss!

Ballet and the History of the Tutu

Speaking of the tutu, this has become an absolutely obsession for me! Prague’s fascinating history provides the perfect backdrop to research my all-time favourite garment – the tutu! This garment tells a story in every little ruffle and tulle! For this adventure I’ve picked up some fabulously old ballet books on tutus - ‘A History of the Ballet Tutu’ and ‘Ballet, Tulle and Toes’, both of which were treasured finds from an old antiquarian bookshop. I found these both hidden within Prague’s charming Old Town – an absolute labyrinth of quaint shops and narrow alleys! A must-visit for every ballet and tutu-lover in town! It's here you find everything from antique lace and silk to vintage ballet books that can help your dreams and take your love of tutus and the ballet to a whole new level.

Fashion in Prague:

But Prague is so much more than just history. For me it’s all about a fusion of past and present, which is clearly evident in its stylish streets. You'll find the most inspiring street fashion, where modern designs are infused with classic Prague style. This mixture of bohemian flair and classical elegance inspires me endlessly. I just love seeing so many people expressing their unique style and creativity! The way Prague fashionistas are able to effortlessly combine historical charm with contemporary trends makes it a true fashion playground! Don't even get me started on the jewellery – my new collection of sparkly pink gems are taking my ballet-inspired ensembles to a whole new level. I've been lucky enough to find some truly beautiful treasures, each one a reminder of my travels and the sheer joy of a city bursting with fashion, ballet and tutus.

My Ballet Inspiration

To inspire all my Pink Tutu followers back in Derbyshire, England I took to the cobblestone streets with my favourite tutus! The city is bursting with beautiful architecture, from whimsical buildings to charming cafes - the perfect backdrops for my whimsical photos! I have just the perfect one of me in my cherry-red tulle tutu twirling outside the city’s iconic astronomical clock - you can see it on the Pink Tutu Instagram, #pinktutuprague ! The local ballet school was also a fabulously pink and tutu-tastic sight, filled with hopeful young ballerinas. I could have happily spent all day observing those precious dancers in their elegant poses and watching those youthful limbs fly with grace! This is how I believe every day should be!

A Perfect Ending to a Perfect Day

There’s just nothing quite like a warm evening stroll through Prague’s beautiful city. This has always been the highlight of any travel adventure. As the sun sets, Prague is drenched in the golden glow, turning everything into a painting. It’s like a dream come true, with all the sights and smells, of cobbled streets, enchanting music from nearby musicians and the sounds of chatter of laughter - you get the distinct impression that the entire city is embracing the magic of twilight. I’m going to finish my evening in a stylish cafe with a glass of local Bohemian sparkling wine while looking back at the day's events. Then, before a peaceful night's rest, I'll tuck into my favourite travel book – “A Ballerina’s Journey” and dream of all my future tutu adventures,

Stay pink,

Emma. xx
