Prague, Darling! Pink Tutu Adventures in the City of a Hundred Spires (Blog Post #1682)

Bonjour, lovelies! It's Wednesday, and that means another Pink Tutu Prague adventure is about to unfold! This week, I'm bursting with excitement because, drumroll please... I'm finally in the Czech Republic! I've dreamt of dancing through Prague's cobbled streets for ages, and now my tutu dreams are coming true.

Honestly, Prague is already giving me all the fairytale vibes. Imagine: historic buildings with those magnificent spires, winding cobblestone alleys that whisper stories, and bridges draped in lights that look like they've come straight out of a ballet set. It's a magical, almost whimsical backdrop for my pink tutu, darling!

But first, let's back up a bit and talk about the journey here. Trains, darling! Always trains! I adore them. The chugging rhythm is a constant companion, and the world zipping by my window just sparks my creativity. And don't even get me started on the comfy seats, the plush velvet, and the endless views - they just scream glamour! This time, I took a grand European journey, a proper odyssey in a glorious red velvet carriage. It was like being a princess in a vintage movie!

When I arrived in Prague, I practically leaped off the platform! The train station itself felt so beautifully grand. They really do things right in Europe. And then, as I stepped outside, that fresh Czech air swept me off my feet. Honestly, lovelies, I inhaled it like it was magic, because it truly felt like a different world.

So, of course, I had to get right into exploring! This town has so much charm, I couldn’t resist just walking the streets and soaking it all in. It felt a bit like one of those old silent films with all the buildings, bridges, and winding roads. I already knew Prague is bursting with rich history, so I found myself strolling through old squares with the ghosts of ballerinas whispering tales of grand operas and lavish balls. The whole place had a story to tell, and I was completely enraptured.

One of my favourite discoveries? The majestic Charles Bridge. Just imagine, walking across it in my pink tutu! (I did, darling!) This bridge is simply gorgeous! Lined with those lovely statues, overlooking the city with its majestic architecture, and with those little vendors selling their treasures... It felt like being a heroine in one of my ballet stories.

Now, every city has a signature vibe, and Prague's energy is all about whimsy. Think gothic architecture, cosy cafes that tempt you with their warm pastries and hot chocolate, and the delightful clinking of bells as a tram passes by. It's so easy to be transported to a dreamy time capsule! And of course, darling, the highlight of the week was a grand performance at the famed National Theatre. A masterpiece in its own right, the theatre has an aura that you just have to experience for yourself. And when the curtains drew back, and the dancers began their ethereal ballet movements, well, let's just say I was in seventh heaven.

Before the show, I treated myself to a proper Bohemian feast. My goodness! Their dumplings are the size of my head! But I bravely, and deliciously, devoured them all. I must confess, they really do pair well with pink tutu!

The following morning, I popped into a delightful cafe (it had a whimsical name, of course! 'Cafe de Fleur'! ), and sipped a lovely lavender tea as I watched the city stir to life. I also snagged the cutest pair of pastel pink ballet flats in a little boutique called "Rose's Delights." I think they’re going to be my perfect Prague companions!

And that, lovelies, is the highlight reel of my first week in Prague! It was, truly, a fairytale. The streets are buzzing with life and excitement, and it feels like there's an adventure waiting around every corner! Stay tuned for next week’s blog, darling, when I'll share more Prague magic. But for now, remember, keep twirling! And remember: always pink! Always a tutu!

Love, Emma
