Bonjour, mon chériés! ??
It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another pink-tastic blog post from your favourite pink-clad, tutu-loving ballerina! This week I’m living it up in the beautiful city of Prague, where the cobblestone streets and majestic architecture seem to whisper the history of ballet through the centuries. I arrived here just yesterday after a whirlwind journey from Derbyshire, which, you know, wasn't exactly a whirlwind, more like a gentle carriage ride on a fluffy pony, courtesy of the railway line and my good friend the train! ?
Prague has immediately captured my heart with its charming, fairytale vibes. Honestly, it's like stepping into a ballet production set. Just picture this: charming cafes overflowing with pink flowers, a quaint clock tower striking the hour like a prima ballerina striking her final pose, and the smell of freshly baked pastries – ah, my stomach is doing a pirouette already! ?
But this blog isn't just about cute cafes, darling! We're here for the ballet, the fashion, and, of course, the tutus. And speaking of tutus, let me tell you, this is tutu heaven!
Every corner of Prague seems to echo with the elegance of a bygone era. There's even a small shop I discovered yesterday crammed full of beautiful, antique tutus, their tulle shimmering like moonlight on a frosty night. I’m thinking a little antique tutu could be the perfect addition to my collection. What do you think? ?
But the real highlight of this Prague adventure was definitely the ballet. This morning, I watched an exquisite performance of "Giselle," held in a gorgeous theatre that made me feel like I’d been transported back in time to a golden age of ballet. I have to tell you, there’s something magical about the atmosphere in a theatre where so many greats have walked the boards. I'm pretty sure I saw a little whisper of Fanny Elssler’s ghost flitting across the stage – what a true ballerina icon, darling! ??
My outfit, of course, was entirely pink and tulle-tastic, as always. A perfectly pink tulle tutu paired with a pearl necklace and cherry-red ballet pumps, because what else is a ballet blogger to wear? The ladies in the audience gave me admiring nods as I entered the theatre, some even complimenting my perfect choice of colour, as only those who truly understand the magic of pink can.
The rest of the day was all about exploring this magical city. I spent hours wandering the charming, cobblestone streets, marveling at the medieval architecture, admiring the breathtaking views from Prague Castle, and soaking up the romantic ambiance. I also indulged in a little shopping spree at a cute vintage boutique – can't let a trip like this pass without a few pink-hued, tulle-covered delights, right? ?️?
This evening, I’m attending a special gala performance by the Prague National Ballet, featuring an exclusive performance of a newly choreographed piece! Oh, how excited I am!
You see, my darlings, this trip has been a wonderful reminder that even amidst the grandeur of ballet history, there’s a certain charm and beauty in the embrace of the past, yet there’s also a vibrant spark in the anticipation of new creativity. The way I see it, ballet, like my favourite pink tutu, is timeless – an elegant symphony that effortlessly combines the beauty of old with the excitement of new! ?
And speaking of excitement, I'm already plotting my next big ballet adventure. Will I be exploring the Parisian opera houses or waltzing with the Bolshoi in Moscow? My ballet heart is itching for the journey! I’ll let you know where my next pink-tutu-filled trip takes me next week.
Until then, remember, darling: always dance to the rhythm of your own heart!
Yours, in pink and tulle,
Emma ?
