Hello my lovely Tutu Tribe! ? It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink-Tutu Prague blog post, fresh from the heart of this magical city! This week, we're diving deep into the enchanting world of Prague's ballet scene - and trust me, it's a real dream!
This week, Prague feels especially captivating, maybe it's the spring air, or perhaps it's the undeniable magic of being surrounded by such beautiful architecture, rich history, and friendly faces. Either way, I’m so thrilled to be exploring Prague in all its glory, especially now that the city is awash in colours. I think you'll all agree, this is a city for the senses – and for pink tutus, naturally. ?
My Travel Adventure: A Train Journey With a Touch of Pink
My journey here, of course, started with a glamorous train trip from Derbyshire. You simply cannot beat a train journey – the gentle rocking, the ever-changing landscape, and the delightful conversations you can have with fellow travellers, all with my latest pink tutu draped across my lap. Who needs planes when you've got a pink tutu and a comfy carriage? It's definitely the most elegant way to travel!
And for this trip, my suitcase was a little heavier than usual, thanks to a brand-new collection of tutus I bought at a vintage store in Derbyshire before I left. (One can never have too many tutus!) They're a glorious mix of pastels and bright pinks – perfect for dancing under the starry sky on Prague’s enchanting bridges.
The City of a Hundred Spires: An Ode to Pink
Upon arriving in Prague, the first thing that struck me was how delightfully pink this city is! Think blooming cherry blossom trees, pastel-coloured houses lining the streets, and, my absolute favourite, the gorgeous pink flamingo sculptures nestled amongst the cobblestone squares! Honestly, the colours in Prague just seem to shimmer and sing. It’s a fairytale come true. Every turn you take presents a picture postcard opportunity for an Instagram moment – it’s simply the most adorable city I’ve ever visited.
A Grand Ballet Performance at the Prague State Opera
Last night, I had the ultimate ballet experience! I finally made it to the Prague State Opera to see the most spectacular ballet production – a whirlwind of talented dancers and magical stories. I was transported to another world, as I watched graceful bodies flitting across the stage, shimmering costumes that were more akin to fairy-tale attire, and a story of passion and tragedy that had me on the edge of my seat.
And, wouldn't you know it, there were pink tutus everywhere, the colour dancing around me. But they were mostly tucked inside vintage shops, which I am now vowing to explore one by one to see which tutu designs are hiding away amongst the dusty boxes of forgotten treasures.
More Than Ballet: Exploring the City’s Soul
Of course, ballet is a major reason for my Prague trip, but Prague has so much to offer, especially for those with a fashion-conscious spirit like myself!

Charming Cafes and Charming Outfits: I've fallen in love with the cafes of Prague, particularly those that specialize in decadent cakes and creamy coffee. They're the perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful afternoon reading ballet magazines or scribbling down blog post ideas - always adorned, of course, in my favourite pink tutus!
Discovering Fashion Finds: My bag is bursting with designer treasures I’ve unearthed in Prague's vintage boutiques. Think lace, silk, and glittering vintage accessories, and don’t forget to look for anything pink, obviously. There's something incredibly empowering about rediscovering and repurposing timeless pieces that have stories to tell – just like the tutus of the past. It makes me excited to put together some of the amazing outfits I'm planning to wear for upcoming ballet events. There's always room for a pink tutu somewhere in every look, whether it’s for a stroll around the city or for a romantic dinner with a ballet date. It’s important to add a touch of sparkle wherever you go!
The Magic of the Old Town Square: Every visit to Prague has to include a visit to the Old Town Square. It's like stepping into a historical film set. I love watching the city come alive at dusk as the astronomical clock chimes, creating a magical symphony of sound and movement. Of course, the clock tower provides the perfect backdrop for a stylish pink tutu-clad Instagram photo.

It’s amazing how much my love of ballet and pink tutus opens doors wherever I travel. In Prague, people have embraced my unique sense of style with warmth and delight. Everyone wants a picture with me, from fellow tourists to locals! It really reinforces the fact that pink tutus are truly for everyone, regardless of age or background. They just radiate joy, a playful spirit, and, of course, endless amounts of sartorial confidence!
