Now, you know I adore a good train journey, and let me tell you, the train ride to Prague was a dream! It felt like I was stepping straight into a fairy tale. Those vintage carriages, plush velvet seats, and the stunning countryside scenery whizzing by... pure bliss! Of course, my trusty pink tutu added a touch of sparkle to the carriage (I'll be posting a selfie later, don't you worry!).
A Pink Tutu's Prague Paradise
Prague has it all! From the cobbled streets that echo with history, to the grand architecture that leaves you speechless, this city feels like it's sprung straight from a fairytale. But before we delve into all the enchanting delights, let's talk about the reason I'm here... the BALLET!
Oh, the ballet in Prague! It's absolutely breathtaking. Imagine the graceful figures on the stage, the music swirling around you like a symphony of dreams, and the atmosphere filled with passion and pure joy! My heart just about burst with happiness at every pirouette!
A Fashionable Fling With Prague
I just couldn't resist a little shopping spree in the city's gorgeous boutiques, could I? Prague is a fashion paradise, darling! Think delicate lace, whimsical florals, and, of course, a plethora of pretty pink pieces for your beloved Pink Tutu Queen. I scored a vintage lace dress that's begging to be twirled, and some exquisite blush-toned jewellery to complement my beloved tutus. I can't wait to show you my haul on Instagram!
Dancing in the Streets
Now, a trip to Prague wouldn't be complete without experiencing the city's unique street performances! It was pure delight watching talented performers transform everyday spaces into their stages! There were violinists playing soulful melodies beneath the Charles Bridge, charming buskers strumming guitars, and even a few enthusiastic folk dancers sharing their traditional steps with passers-by! Honestly, it made the whole city feel alive and bursting with artistic energy!
My Favourite Ballet Spot - The Estates Theatre
And now for the grand finale! Today, I had the absolute privilege of attending a ballet performance at the stunning Estates Theatre. Oh my, it was magnificent! Imagine, dear readers, ornate gilded details, velvet seating that practically begs you to sink in, and an air of history hanging in the air.
The ballet itself was "The Nutcracker," a truly magical tale brought to life with exquisite choreography and some incredibly talented dancers. Their leaps, pirouettes, and even their very smallest movements filled me with a profound sense of wonder. It was truly enchanting!
A Toast To Prague's History
After the performance, I wandered through the enchanting old town, mesmerised by the golden light illuminating the iconic Prague Castle. I sat on a bridge overlooking the Vltava River, just soaking it all in, and let me tell you, my dear friends, the beauty of Prague stole my heart! It's truly a city filled with magic, history, and endless possibilities for a ballerina like me.
And what's better than a breathtaking performance in an exquisite theatre? Why, a glass of Czech wine in a charming little wine bar, of course! I savoured the smooth sweetness of the wine while people-watching and simply enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Prague!
Pink Tutu Dreams for Prague
Remember, my dear readers, it’s my dream to see everyone rocking a pink tutu. This trip to Prague has inspired me even more! Perhaps we can organise a Pink Tutu dance party here someday! Imagine the colours, the movement, the sheer joy!
