My journey began with a grand, dramatic arrival by train – there's something so magical about being whisked away by steam and speed to a new destination. I even spotted a charming little pony stable nestled by the station, adding a touch of whimsy to the arrival.
Speaking of whimsy, what could be more delightful than my arrival outfit? A frothy, ballet-pink tutu with cascading layers of tulle, adorned with tiny shimmering sequins. Paired with a crisp white blouse and ballet flats with a dash of pink ribbon, I felt like a real-life ballerina on a mission to spread joy and sparkle – the pink tutu movement is clearly making progress in Europe!

My mission in Prague? To immerse myself in the world of ballet and experience the magic first-hand. The city boasts several beautiful theaters, each holding unique stories and artistic expressions, and I made it my mission to explore them all!
I saw "The Nutcracker" at the National Theatre, which was spectacular – the music, the costumes, the sheer joy and energy on stage made me feel like a child again. Then, I enjoyed a performance at the Estates Theatre – it's renowned for its beautiful acoustics and ornate décor, and truly transported me back in time. The beauty of ballet, especially on historical stages like this, is simply magical.
Of course, I couldn’t resist indulging in some ballet classes myself. A few sessions at the renowned Dance Centre Prague allowed me to practice my pirouettes, gracefully stretch my muscles, and meet some fellow dance enthusiasts. The shared passion for this art form created a truly heartwarming atmosphere – the camaraderie between the students was quite wonderful!
Tutus Through Time: Exploring Prague's Ballet History
Every journey should include a bit of history, and Prague did not disappoint! My pink tutu took me through centuries of artistic inspiration, starting at the Prague City Museum, which revealed fascinating details about the city’s cultural heritage, including ballet's fascinating history in Prague.
Next, I found myself transported to a whole other world at the Czech Museum of Music, a fascinating glimpse into the origins and evolution of musical instruments, showcasing the power of music across different eras, reminding me of the deep link between ballet and music.

A girl can't be a pink tutu devotee without indulging in some shopping, right?
Prague is a fashionista's dream, especially for those who love pink. My trusty shopping tote was filled with beautiful silk scarves, shimmering pink earrings, and even a delicately pink-trimmed parasol (so chic, n'est-ce pas?) The fashion district was a sensory explosion of colour and textures. From boutique ateliers to antique shops overflowing with treasures, my wallet felt the love as my heart thrummed with the joy of new fashion discoveries.

No trip to Prague is complete without a taste of its famous pastry and confectioneries! After days of exploration, what could be more delightful than a decadent treat?
Prague's cake shops are simply delightful, boasting a kaleidoscope of colours, flavours, and textures – a real dream for a pink-loving gal. From delicately flavoured fruit tarts to the infamous Trdelník, a traditional pastry sprinkled with sugar and dusted with cinnamon, my tastebuds were delighted!
