Darling, did you know it's 2007? How simply divine! What a splendid start to the year, especially after a rather long and, let's just say, *intense* festive season, you know? Honestly, the family...Anyway, darling, enough of that! We're all about ballet, are we not? And my, oh my, what a *divine* month for ballet this January has been!

First, let's travel, shall we? To Vienna, for the most heavenly production of **Swan Lake** at the **Vienna State Opera**. The dancers were *breathtaking*, simply divine. I can't tell you the emotion I felt, it was like, oh my, I simply *died*. Of course, I couldn't possibly leave out my personal favorite, *Odette*, danced by the gorgeous *Eva Ivanova*! She was simply *mesmerising* with the most effortless grace and, well, she quite simply looked like she'd just stepped out of a Botticelli painting, honestly! *Sighs with contentment*

While we're in the *romantic* mood, *Giselle*, at the **Paris Opera Ballet**! Well, let me tell you, *Elise Dubois*, that young *ballerina* is one to watch! Her portrayal of the tragic heroine, Giselle, simply broke my heart. I literally felt the tears well up in my eyes, honestly! The whole cast was absolutely fabulous, with such emotional *depth*. Truly stunning, my dears, *simply stunning!*

Now, let's take a *whirlwind tour* around the globe, shall we? In *New York City*, *American Ballet Theatre* presented **The Sleeping Beauty**. The costumes were absolutely exquisite, and the *ensemble dancing* was utterly flawless! Honestly, I was transported to the most *enchanted forest*. They say *Aurora* is the most challenging role, and *Ashley Bouder*, simply darling, just stole the show, my dears! *She* was absolutely magnificent!

Let's jet to **Moscow** for the **Bolshoi Theatre**, shall we? There we have **The Nutcracker*, such a *classic*, of course! *Irina Dvorovenko* and *Dmitry Belyavsky*, my *dears*, they are quite the pair, you know? Simply exquisite together. But what truly stood out for me was the **grand corps de ballet**, oh my! Their dancing was simply sublime, absolutely *effortless*. They just moved with such grace and elegance, I couldn't take my eyes away for even a moment!

And, *finally*, let's land in **London** at the **Royal Opera House** for *Matthew Bourne's* **Swan Lake**. Yes, darlings, that *avant-garde* choreography, I simply adore it! *Richard Winsor* was simply brilliant as the Swan. His dancing was simply *powerful* yet so emotional, he made me really *feel* for the character. The entire show is truly captivating, oh my! And the music, it simply sends shivers down my spine.

Well, darling, it seems January has certainly spoiled us with amazing ballet performances. But wait, darling! There's even more! Remember all that **Christmas** buzz we were just talking about? We can't leave out *the festive joy*. Honestly, ballet and Christmas, such a perfect combination, right? Oh, and there's also that *chilling* feeling of **New Year's** in the air, it's almost intoxicating. *Don't you just love the magic?*'

Speaking of magical, how about the **Royal Ballet's** Christmas treat, *The Nutcracker*? They were, quite frankly, *exquisite*! Honestly, just *so heartwarming* for this time of year. It’s truly a timeless classic for the whole family! I especially enjoyed *Alina Cojocaru* as the Sugar Plum Fairy, *so graceful*! *Sighs dreamily* I just adore the romantic *story*, the magical costumes, and, of course, the heartwarming music.

Speaking of festive traditions, *The Snow Queen*, at **The English National Ballet*, was truly a visual spectacle! The staging, the costumes, the choreography… *My darling* it all had a distinctly *Christmasy* feel! Not to mention that fantastic set, *it was just divine*, don’t you think? Absolutely the perfect combination of art, and… well, Christmas!

And let's not forget the **London Coliseum** and its dazzling **The Sleeping Beauty**. My, what an absolutely *joyous* spectacle! Just picture a sparkling fairytale set, lavish costumes, and then, the *stars* *Marianela Núñez* and *Ryoichi Hirano*. They were, dare I say, *magical*! Absolutely stunning in this perfect Christmas performance!

So there you have it, darlings! All the latest from the wonderful world of ballet this January! My heart is so full of all this beautiful *art*! *Oh my goodness!*

Remember, darling, it’s all about passion, commitment, grace, elegance and, let’s not forget, *simply being ourselves*. Isn't that the beauty of it all?

Have a lovely, and most importantly, *fashionable* month, my darlings!
