The Royal Ballet: A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Royal Opera House, London
It all began in the heart of London, at the grand Royal Opera House, where the Royal Ballet treated us to a truly enchanting rendition of A Midsummer Night's Dream. The production was a feast for the senses. From the vibrant, dream-like costumes by David Walker, to the exquisite, flowing choreography by Frederick Ashton, each movement and detail spoke volumes. I found myself utterly mesmerized by the sheer beauty of it all.

Next, I jetted off to the heart of Russia, Moscow, for an evening of breathtaking grace and grandeur at the Bolshoi Theatre. Their performance of Swan Lake was simply astounding! I found myself on the edge of my seat, captivated by the technical mastery and passionate portrayal of both the swan and the human Odette by the masterful Anna Nikulina. Her effortless transitions between these two realms were breathtaking. The Bolshoi’s dancers showcased remarkable virtuosity and, darling, the entire experience felt timeless.

The New York City Ballet: Ballet in America at the David H. Koch Theater, New York
Across the Atlantic, the dynamic New York City Ballet was celebrating all things American in their breathtaking "Ballet in America" program at the David H. Koch Theater. They unveiled works by the late, great Jerome Robbins, including the dynamic and electrifying Fancy Free, which really set the mood for this captivating night of contemporary choreography.

And, darling, the "Agon" piece was utterly spellbinding, the synchronized movements creating a harmonious dialogue. A truly stunning performance.
San Francisco Ballet: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland at the War Memorial Opera House, San Francisco
From the city that never sleeps, I made my way to the West Coast, where the San Francisco Ballet was staging its innovative Alice's Adventures in Wonderland at the grand War Memorial Opera House. What an artistic spectacle this was. The vibrant colours, whimsical choreography and fantastical sets brought Lewis Carroll's beloved classic to life, with captivating interpretations of the Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts. Australian Ballet: Giselle at the State Theatre, Melbourne
To wrap up this whirlwind tour, I found myself in the sunny and stylish city of Melbourne, Australia. And who else but the Australian Ballet could bring Giselle to life with such heartfelt passion? This rendition felt refreshingly raw and beautifully human, thanks in no small part to the superb performances of the lead dancers. I'm completely captivated!
