Pink Tutu Rome: Week 90 - Ciao Bella, Roma! 🇮🇹💖🩰

Hello lovelies! It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for a new Pink Tutu Rome blog post! I'm absolutely buzzing to be sharing my adventures in this beautiful city with you. This week, I'm all about Roman magic, fabulous fashion, and, of course, ballet. So grab a cuppa, slip on your comfiest tutu, and let's dive into a day in the life of a pink-loving ballerina exploring Rome!

Journey by Train 🚂

I absolutely love travelling by train. There's something so romantic about watching the world go by from the window of a carriage, and it allows me to fully immerse myself in the journey. This week, I boarded a luxurious train in Derbyshire, leaving behind the rolling green hills for the sun-kissed streets of Rome.

Arriving in Rome

I'm utterly charmed by the energy of Rome. As I stepped out of the train station, a cacophony of Italian voices, the smell of freshly baked pastries, and the buzz of motorbikes filled the air. It was simply exhilarating!

Fashion Frenzy!

You know how much I love a good fashion fix, and Rome certainly delivered! I've been browsing through the charming boutiques in the city, my eyes sparkling with delight at all the gorgeous fabrics and elegant styles. I managed to pick up a stunning, blush-pink silk scarf and a pair of delicate gold earrings, both perfect for adding a touch of pink and glamour to my wardrobe.

Rome’s Ballet Scene

The Italian passion for ballet is just as evident in Rome as it is in Derbyshire! Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a stunning performance by the Rome Opera Ballet at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. The talent and passion on stage were awe-inspiring. The graceful dancers, the intricate costumes, and the incredible music… It was pure ballet bliss! I've even managed to secure a spot in a ballet class later this week, which I'm absolutely thrilled about.

Pink Tutu Pasta & Pizza!

Of course, no trip to Rome would be complete without indulging in some authentic Italian cuisine! I sampled some heavenly pasta with pesto and a delicious pizza topped with mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. As always, I insisted on a splash of pink to match my tutu - a pink lemonade that perfectly complemented the meal.

Colosseum Chaos

I have to admit, I felt like a tiny ballerina in the vastness of the Colosseum. It was such an incredible sight to see, and it filled me with wonder at the sheer scale of the ancient Romans' engineering feat. It really brought history to life!

Pink Tutu Wonders

Everywhere I go, I look for ways to add a touch of pink tutu magic! Whether it's posing in front of a stunning fountain or sipping a pink grapefruit juice at a local café, I'm embracing every moment and bringing my signature pink-tutu style to the vibrant streets of Rome. I’ve even seen a few Roman ladies rocking pink tutus and think my campaign to bring pink tutu fashion to the world is working!

A Day in the Life…

Here’s a little snapshot of what a day in my pink-tutu-loving life looks like in Rome!

  • Morning: Wake up in my charming little hotel room and slip into a delightful breakfast of pastries and fruit, whilst gazing at the terracotta rooftops of Rome.

  • Afternoon: Embrace the Roman heat, visit some iconic sights, and capture the beautiful city with my camera! I even made a few friends amongst the fellow tourists!

  • Evening: I indulged in an evening of culture at a local ballet performance, and topped off the evening with some fabulous Roman pasta and pizza.

My Final Thoughts

Rome has exceeded my expectations! From the iconic sights to the warm hospitality of the locals, this city truly has it all. It's the perfect destination for any ballet-loving, fashion-obsessed pink-tutu devotee!

Until next time, stay pink and sparkly!
