Buongiorno, my darlings!
The Roman air is crisp and sunny this morning, just perfect for twirling in my favourite pink tulle creation. You all know my mission - spreading the joy of pink tutus across the globe, and what better place to do that than in the heart of Italy? This week I’m indulging in some serious Roman-style luxury, exploring the city of history, romance, and of course, fashion! It's not every day you get to indulge in this much gorgeousness, so strap in, darlings, this post is going to be a real feast for the eyes!
As you know, I’m always up for a bit of a journey by train. I just love watching the scenery whizz past and dreaming of adventures. The journey from Derbyshire was a bit longer than usual, but so worth it. I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of my favourite tutu with the countryside in the background, of course! The colours of the leaves were breathtaking, almost as beautiful as my own vibrant pink ensemble.
Upon arriving in Rome, I made a beeline for my charming little boutique hotel, the perfect base for exploring the city. Let's just say it was the sort of place that dreams are made of, complete with a balcony overlooking a bustling piazza and the sweetest little bistro right next door, where I enjoyed a delicious Italian breakfast. My pink tulle flowed with such elegance as I sipped my cappuccino and soaked up the atmosphere. It truly felt like stepping into a scene from a vintage film, a dream in the most beautiful city in the world. I felt every bit the princess in my pink tulle and knew this was just the beginning of my Italian adventure.
The afternoon was spent getting acquainted with the cobblestone streets and exploring the glorious sights. The Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, it was all just so incredible. Every corner had a story to tell. My pink tulle was the perfect companion for all this beauty - it glided seamlessly through crowds and, of course, created an unforgettable picture with the historical marvels around me.
But Rome wasn't just about the history, it was about the shopping too, darling. What trip to Italy would be complete without exploring some amazing shops? I discovered a delightful vintage boutique overflowing with gorgeous pieces – everything from stunning shoes and bags to beautiful scarves and jewellery. I found the perfect ruby necklace, the perfect touch for my outfit tonight, a gala performance at the Teatro dell'Opera. Imagine my excitement, dear friends, it's a ballet extravaganza!
Now, don’t get me wrong, I don't wear my tutus everywhere in Rome - although it is tempting! It's really just for special occasions. However, my everyday look in Rome involves a lot of feminine charm. A floral midi skirt, a lace top, maybe a little cashmere cardigan with a touch of pink. But a bright pink lip is always essential! You’ll never catch me in Rome without a touch of that iconic Italian colour! I am quite simply bursting with colour, my lovelies! And you should be too!
The evening brought a fabulous evening at the opera. I had an absolute ball! The music was magnificent, and the performances were superb, as graceful and elegant as a single, delicate rose petal swirling in the air. You'd think they'd steal all my thunder with their twirling, but of course, I held my own. Let's just say my pink tulle provided the perfect accent to the evening's exquisite atmosphere.
It was a simply sensational day! Rome has so much to offer, and I’ve barely even scratched the surface. I'll be back next week to tell you all about my adventures - a day of exploring ancient ruins, sampling delicious street food, and a ballet class where, dare I say it, I inspired a fellow dancer to rock some pink tulle.
And you know what, if Rome can make even me embrace some Parisian style, then you can be sure that a touch of Parisian pink tulle could revolutionize the fashion scene. It’s definitely something I’m working on, darlings. Just remember, one tutu can make all the difference, especially when you wear it with confidence!
