Hello darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another exciting episode of Pink Tutu Rome. Today, we're diving into the Eternal City, exploring all its fabulous hidden corners and dazzling street performances. It's day five of my Italian escapade, and let me tell you, my pink tutu is feeling absolutely swoon worthy amongst the ancient ruins and cobbled streets.
Train Travels and Tiaras:
You know how much I love travelling by train, and arriving in Rome by train yesterday was absolutely divine. I even sported my sparkly, custom-made pink tutu with a matching tiara - yes, darling, I always travel in style. I mean, you never know who you might meet on a train, do you? And, you never want to be caught off-guard, sans fabulous attire.
Roman Adventures:
Today, my dearest Pink Tutu Posse, I’m off to see a real Roman Gladiator battle! Okay, maybe not real, but I’ve heard whispers about a street theatre performance that’s got people talking. They say there are costumes, fights, and maybe even a touch of Roman history thrown in for good measure.
But before I don my gladiator-worthy attire, I'm heading to one of my favourite Roman treasures – the Pantheon. It's such a beautiful building, with an open-air dome that lets in a stunning ray of sunlight, and it reminds me of some of the ballets I’ve seen featuring breathtaking celestial themes. Who knew the ancient world could be so… poetic?
Pink Tutu Glamour:
I'm not sure if it's the ancient Roman vibes, the sunshine, or maybe the fact that I just bought the most exquisite pink tutu from a small shop near the Trevi Fountain, but Rome has truly awakened my creative spirit. It’s got me dreaming up some brand-new, vibrant choreography for my next performance, and thinking of a very special ballet themed after a Roman gladiator battle. Maybe even a fight scene, with a whole pink tutu brigade. Wouldn't that be fab?
Evening Spectacle:
This evening, I'm heading to the Colosseum, which I heard is lit up like a Christmas tree – and let’s be honest, that sounds utterly magnificent. Afterwards, I’m going to try and see if I can snag a ticket to an Opera performance. Who knows, maybe I’ll even catch a glimpse of a pink tutu on one of the leading ladies. The possibilities are endless!
A Roman Feast:
To celebrate this wonderful day of Roman exploration and pink tutu-clad adventures, I’m going to try some real Roman cuisine! I’ve heard rumours of pasta dishes that’ll send your tastebuds on a heavenly journey, so be sure to stay tuned to find out what my pink tutu chooses for tonight’s culinary experience!
Shop Til You Drop!
I might even squeeze in a little bit of window shopping – because you can’t possibly come to Rome without a peek at its legendary fashion scene. There are so many chic shops here, full of clothes that would make even the most discerning Pink Tutu devotee weak in the knees!
