Buongiorno, my lovely Tutu-licious followers! It's Emma here, writing to you from the heart of Rome, a city that feels like it’s been dipped in sunshine and sprinkled with ancient magic! This week marks my first foray into the Eternal City, and I must say, it's exceeding all my expectations. But, as always, it’s not just about the stunning architecture and the delectable Italian cuisine (although, let’s be honest, they are HUGE plus points!) for me, it’s about the sheer magic of discovering a new city, twirling through cobblestone streets, and adding another layer of pink-tutu joy to my global adventures!
As a true #PinkTutu girl, I simply had to wear my favourite bright pink tutu for my arrival in Rome. It felt so right – whimsical against the dramatic backdrop of the Colosseum, sassy yet elegant as I twirled my way past ancient Roman ruins, and absolutely fabulous for posing for some fabulous pictures by the Trevi Fountain! Let's be honest, a girl needs a splash of pink to make the world a more magical place, wouldn't you agree?
Speaking of magical places, Rome just brims with history and enchantment. From the awe-inspiring Colosseum, a place where gladiators battled centuries ago, to the intricate Vatican City, where I even managed to sneak a peek at the Sistine Chapel – each corner whispered tales of emperors, popes, and countless lives lived and loved. It's almost impossible not to feel a sense of wonder when you're surrounded by such historical grandeur.
This week's adventures were filled with more than just history. Wednesday marked my day at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma! Imagine the opulence – the beautiful grand lobby, the velvety seats, the stunning performance! My heart soared with joy as I watched “La Traviata” – the timeless story of love, passion, and sacrifice, all brought to life by such incredible talent. Even with my #PinkTutu on, I fit in seamlessly with the sophistication and elegance of the opera crowd, because let’s face it, ballet is truly an art form that transcends borders.
But no trip to Rome is complete without a visit to the world-renowned fashion houses, of course! And it was a true highlight to explore the boutiques and soak in the iconic Italian style. Every window was a visual feast, showcasing the latest trends from sleek Italian designers. I managed to find a gorgeous emerald green satin blouse that I just had to have. It felt so right, the perfect sophisticated touch to wear for the ballet classes that I’ve started attending.
I just love discovering ballet classes in each city I visit, and the Italian passion for the dance shines through. It’s wonderful to connect with local dancers, to experience different techniques and to learn new choreography. This week's session at the beautiful Studio Eleonora was all about elegance and control – graceful pirouettes in front of a magnificent view of the Forum – could it get more picturesque?
So, how does a #PinkTutu girl find herself funding her whirlwind European adventures? Well, dear readers, you know my passion: sharing the joy of ballet with the world! That means dancing my heart out at charity galas, giving workshops, performing at theatres, and of course, participating in exciting ballet events. This past weekend, I had the joy of dancing in a special "Ballet Under the Stars" performance in a picturesque village outside Rome. It was magic – the warmth of the moonlight, the rustling of trees, the applause of a thrilled audience! That, my friends, is the true magic of ballet – the shared experience, the beauty, and the joy. It fuels my wanderlust, allows me to experience different cultures, and of course, wear my pink tutus everywhere I go!
It's incredible how these experiences shape my creativity and how my #PinkTutu journey is fueled by ballet, by fashion, and by the vibrant spirit of discovery. The world, with all its wonder, waits to be explored, and I intend to wear my #PinkTutu with pride as I journey through it, one fabulous adventure at a time.
