Pink Tutu Rome: Week 210 - Ciao Bella, Italy! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

Well hello lovelies! It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Rome post! ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’– This week has been absolutely bursting with magic, colour, and a whole lot of pink (as always, darlings!). I've been dancing through the cobbled streets of Rome, exploring this incredible city with my trusty pink tutu trailing behind me.

If you follow my blog, you'll know I'm a big fan of train journeys. They are pure relaxation and a perfect opportunity to put together my travelling outfit. This time, I opted for a floaty, powder pink dress with a tiered skirt - think whimsical and airy, like a ballet dancer caught in a gentle breeze! It wouldn't be complete without my signature accessory - my very special pink tulle tutu. Let me tell you, I caused quite the stir on the train, sparking smiles and playful conversation from everyone. After all, a little bit of pink tutu joy goes a long way!

Rome: A Ballet of Architecture and Flavour

Once I arrived in Rome, my senses were truly awakened. The architecture here is like a giant, intricate stage set. I mean, imagine a Renaissance ballet backdrop! My first stop was the Colosseum - that iconic symbol of Roman grandeur. Just standing there, feeling the history swirling around me, was an amazing feeling.

After the Colosseum, it was time to refuel with some of that delicious Italian food. Let's be honest, it's no surprise that my first meal was a perfect pasta dish - creamy carbonara, of course. You could say that my love of food rivals my passion for tutus! I was so smitten with the flavour combinations that I even did a little twirl of delight. ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Rome on Wednesday 1999-06-16

Speaking of Wednesday's, here's a glimpse into what my day in Rome was like, Wednesday 1999-06-16:

  • Morning: A coffee with a side of pastries at the adorable little cafรฉ near my hotel. They had the cutest little pink heart-shaped cookies!
  • Afternoon: I spent hours getting lost in the fascinating Vatican City. The sheer size and detail of St. Peter's Basilica left me utterly speechless.
  • Evening: A beautiful ballet show at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. It was a whirlwind of romance, passion, and grace. And I'm pretty sure I even caught a couple of swooning sighs from the audience... After the performance, I strolled through the lively streets, taking in the energy of Rome nightlife. There was just so much colour and excitement everywhere!

Fashion Finds in the Eternal City

No trip is complete without a bit of shopping, wouldn't you say? I found a divine vintage shop tucked away in a quaint alley, and, you guessed it, I walked away with a beautiful pink scarf, adorned with a swirling floral pattern. The soft silk against my skin feels simply heavenly. I already envision it paired with my favourite light pink sundress!

And what about shoes, you ask? Well, my dear readers, let's just say I was quite enchanted by the incredible array of shoes available here. I finally snagged a pair of stunning, silver ballerina flats - perfect for waltzing through the cobbled streets of Rome!

Tutus for Every Occasion

This trip has reaffirmed my belief that every woman needs a tutu in her life. Whether you're walking along the Thames, wandering through the Louvre, or even enjoying a coffee in a bustling Parisian cafe, a touch of pink tutu can instantly transform any outfit into something magical.

And that, dear friends, is the message of the Pink Tutu! It's about expressing your unique style and celebrating the beautiful, bold, and slightly rebellious side of ourselves. So, take a cue from my Italian adventure, go forth and let your inner ballerina shine! ๐Ÿ’–โœจ

Don't forget to join me next Wednesday for more Pink Tutu Rome adventures!

Ciao for now! Emma x
