#PinkTutuRome - Week 240: Roman Holiday, Pink Style! 🩰🇮🇹

Hello lovelies! It’s Emma here, bringing you all the pinkest, twirliest adventures straight from the heart of Rome! As you all know, Wednesday is #PinkTutuRome day, and I'm so excited to share the glorious whirlwind of colour and culture I've been experiencing.

Now, let's talk train travel! I’m a firm believer that the journey is just as much a part of the adventure as the destination. And oh my goodness, travelling to Rome by train is a pure joy! Picture this: a smooth ride through beautiful landscapes, the clinking of glasses from the café car, the scent of freshly baked croissants...it’s pure fairytale! The sheer joy of being able to sit back, relax, and soak in the ever-changing scenery - a vast improvement on stressful, chaotic airport experiences!

Arriving in Roma Termini station, I was immediately captivated by the vibrancy of the city. This grand station, steeped in history, transported me back in time. From there, we hopped on a charming little local train to our hotel in Trastevere. I had been imagining this cobbled street and the sound of a lone guitar strumming as we wandered in, and sure enough, as we rounded the corner, there it was, the music adding a perfect finishing touch!

Now, a few of you might be wondering, “Emma, how can you afford all these amazing adventures?" Well, you see, I’ve been lucky enough to find a brilliant way to turn my passion into a travel fund. Through hard work and dedication, I manage to secure performances at prestigious dance venues around the world. It's a privilege to share the magic of ballet with others and use my skills to support my love for travel!

The last week in Rome has been a beautiful ballet of sight and sound. My pink tutu was quite the conversation starter at the Trevi Fountain, a truly iconic landmark that left me utterly speechless. And what would a trip to Italy be without the ultimate Roman feast? I savoured every morsel of perfectly-cooked pasta carbonara (and yes, it was as delicious as I dreamed it would be!), washed down with local limonata! We also explored the stunning Pantheon with its magnificent dome and, of course, indulged in a delicious scoop of gelato - a pink one, naturally!

The highlight of the week was absolutely the ballet at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. It’s been my dream to see the famous ballet of Rome, and oh, it did not disappoint! Every single element - from the stunning choreography to the intricate costumes and the powerful, emotional music - left me spellbound. The story, the emotions, the sheer talent on stage, I was moved beyond words. It was a perfect example of how ballet transcends language and speaks to the soul in the most profound way. I simply had to wear my signature pink tutu - I do love a bit of colour at a show! The Italians adore a pink tutu, as you would know if you follow my blog!

So, darling readers, if you’re dreaming of exploring a new city, I say, make it happen! Remember, travel isn't about money, it's about embracing the journey, savouring every moment, and remembering the magic found in every new place you discover.

But always remember to take a little bit of you wherever you go - for me, that means rocking my trusty pink tutu. There’s nothing quite like spreading joy and confidence wherever you travel, one pink tutu at a time!

Until next Wednesday, darlings, keep twirling and dreaming big!

Yours always, Emma xx
