#PinkTutuRome: Ciao Bella! (Post #265) 🩰🇮🇹

Buongiorno, darling! Welcome back to my #PinkTutuRome blog - It’s Wednesday and you know what that means - it's time for another journey through the Eternal City, wearing, of course, my trusty pink tutu! This week, I've been feeling like a true Italian princess. And honestly, darling, with the stunning sunshine and endless pasta, how could you not feel like royalty?

You know, travelling to Italy has always been a dream, and to think it all started in Derbyshire, just me, a tutu, and a burning ambition to dance across the globe! Now here I am, embracing all things Italian, from the cobbled streets to the heavenly gelatos! It's like a dream come true! 🍦

Speaking of dreams, my adventures started this week in the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma - the Opera House! I saw "La Traviata" – just gorgeous, darling, with all the beautiful singing and the romantic story. It had everything! You’d be surprised how much the music inspired me for my next pink tutu design, think dramatic reds, dramatic feathers… and maybe a sprinkle of sparkle, of course!

After the Opera House, my journey continued through the bustling Piazza Navona! It was buzzing with street artists, acrobats, and even a couple of dancers in brightly-coloured costumes. I, of course, couldn’t resist having a little twirl amongst them. 😉 After all, how could I miss out on a good impromptu performance opportunity?

I don't think the sun has ever felt quite this good on my pink tutu! I feel like I’ve been twirling through ancient history and Renaissance glamour. Honestly, my darlings, you haven't truly lived until you've danced amongst the ancient ruins and the cascading fountains. Rome has really captivated my heart - I could honestly stay forever!

And speaking of forever, who wouldn’t want to live in a city of fashion? I managed to slip into a few local boutiques and, of course, I couldn't resist indulging in some gorgeous accessories! You know me, darling, a tutu is never complete without some dazzling jewellery! Think Roman coin pendants, golden bracelets, and oh, some stunning ruby red earrings, a must-have, wouldn't you say?

I even managed to squeeze in a ballet class at the beautiful Teatro Olimpico. I feel like this city has me floating on air – quite literally, like I could actually fly in a pink tutu! It felt magical to move alongside local dancers who truly embrace the passion of their art, their commitment, their talent, it’s all so inspiring!

And who doesn't love some amazing gelato? I must admit I indulged in some vanilla bean flavour (my personal favourite, you know me! 💖) followed by the most delicious fruit salad gelato I've ever tasted - I had to sit down for five minutes just to enjoy every bite!

To top off a day of fabulous adventures, I dined at an incredible trattoria, tucking into authentic Italian food – think creamy pasta, rich sauces, and juicy steak – simply heaven, darling. There was, of course, some heavenly tiramisu, I simply could not leave without indulging in that delectable, dreamy, coffee-laced dessert. ☕️

And my dear darlings, the best part of my trip? The trains! I always travel by train, as you all know. I find it such a luxurious experience! This journey felt even more special with the panoramic windows, revealing ancient castles, vineyards, and quaint villages dotted throughout the countryside. The train journey felt like its own romantic adventure – a little like my pink tutu dreams!

Don't forget, you can keep up with my Roman adventures each Wednesday on www.pink-tutu.com. And make sure to join the conversation, using #PinkTutuRome. Don’t forget to grab your own pink tutu - who knows where it might take you next! I'm heading back to the city of Rome soon, to explore more hidden gems and captivating adventures! Until next time darlings - ciao! 🩰🇮🇹 💖

Love, Emma xx
