#PinkTutuRome: A Tutu-tastic Time in the Eternal City! (Post #487)

Buongiorno, my darling tutu-wearers! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another fabulous instalment of my #PinkTutuRome blog!

I'm back in my favourite city, Rome, the city that captured my heart with its vibrant energy and incredible history. This week's adventure has been an absolute whirlwind of fashion, fabulousness, and, of course, tutu-tastic moments!

As many of you know, I love nothing more than hopping on a train and exploring a new corner of the world. The journey itself is part of the adventure! This time, I boarded the train from beautiful Derbyshire, England, with a bright pink duffel bag packed with the perfect mix of tutus, glittery outfits, and ballet shoes, ready to take on the Eternal City!

Rome has an air of romance that's hard to resist. The cobblestone streets, the laughter spilling out of bustling cafes, the sunshine bathing everything in a golden glow... it all just whispers 'ciao bella!' in a way that makes my heart skip a beat!

A Touch of Glamour at the Teatro dell’Opera

I couldn't come to Rome without taking in a spectacular opera performance, and luckily for me, this Wednesday evening featured Verdi’s “Aida”! I’d been anticipating this moment for weeks and couldn't wait to feel the energy of the city’s magnificent Teatro dell’Opera. The auditorium was absolutely breathtaking, with a dazzling chandelier and a history stretching back over 150 years. And the performance was… divine!

Wearing my custom-designed pink tutu with matching feathered headdress (it's my ‘Rome' tutu!), I felt utterly radiant, taking in the captivating melody and incredible artistry. After the curtain call, the entire theatre was on its feet, roaring with applause. You could practically feel the excitement reverberating throughout the room – a perfect end to an incredible evening!

A Fashion Extravaganza in Piazza Navona

Of course, no trip to Rome would be complete without a shopping spree! Today, I found myself wandering through the cobblestone streets of Piazza Navona, soaking up the atmosphere and getting my fix of designer chic. It was like walking into a living museum! The air was thick with the smell of leather, pasta, and espresso – a delightful sensory overload that left me feeling utterly inspired!

My eyes widened as I stumbled upon a charming vintage clothing boutique, where I unearthed the most beautiful silk scarf. It had a gorgeous floral pattern, just the right splash of colour to accentuate my love for pink. I knew this would look fabulous with my blush pink tulle tutu!

Fuelled by Italian Delights

As every traveller knows, you can't go through a European adventure without savouring the local delights. After my shopping spree, I stumbled upon a cosy trattoria with checkered tablecloths and an array of authentic Roman dishes on offer. I tucked into a plate of spaghetti carbonara – the creamy, salty sauce just melted in my mouth – and washed it down with a refreshing glass of local white wine. Mamma Mia! It was the perfect end to a day of exciting exploration.

My Love for Rome & Tutus

It's not just the sights and the delicious food that draws me back to this magical city – it's the undeniable energy of Roman life, the laughter echoing through the ancient streets, the joy in every encounter. There's something about Rome that brings out my most vibrant self. It inspires me, energizes me, and, yes, even encourages me to wear even more pink!

As I sit here sipping a cappuccino and watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of pink and orange, I can’t help but feel deeply grateful for all of the experiences that this journey has brought my way. Every week I feel more confident in myself, more willing to embrace my love for pink tutus, and more determined to inspire others to wear their own version of it.

Remember, darlings, life's too short to wear boring clothes!

Until next Wednesday, stay fabulous and stay pink!

Lots of love,

Emma
