Pink Tutu Rome: Post #945 - Exploring the Eternal City in Pink!

Buongiorno, darlings! Emma here, your resident Pink Tutu Queen, reporting live from the magnificent city of Rome! 🇮🇹

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Rome post. This week has been an absolute whirlwind of breathtaking sights, delicious food, and, of course, a touch of pink! As usual, my trusty tutu has been a constant companion – a perfect outfit for navigating the bustling cobbled streets and the awe-inspiring ancient ruins.

This week, my journey began in the charming Derbyshire countryside. I spent a lovely Monday morning, dancing with the local school children, helping them hone their ballet skills and inspiring them with the joy of movement. It’s truly wonderful to spread the Pink Tutu love wherever I go.

As Tuesday afternoon rolled around, I was back in the heart of London, bidding farewell to my darling family (they really are the best!) and hopping onto a gleaming, red train. Oh, how I love train journeys! Watching the scenery fly by while I scribble down notes in my travel journal and plan out my next ballet steps (or pink tutu adventures!) is one of my favourite pastimes.

Arriving in Rome in the twilight, I was greeted by a symphony of scents – the rich aroma of espresso, the sweet scent of freshly baked bread, and the delicate perfume of jasmine wafting from the flower stalls. After checking into my little hotel near the Pantheon, I popped on my tutu and twirled out into the night.

Speaking of tutus, this one was a custom creation. I knew Rome would be a perfect place for some truly glamorous tutu-wearing and had it specially made from a delicate silk organza. It features intricate lace trim and a smattering of sparkling sequins – simply divine! It even has a hint of a beautiful pink hue to perfectly compliment the city's rosy glow at sunset.

Of course, my journey to Rome wasn’t just about tutus (though they are a major priority!) My main mission this week was to soak up the beauty of this historical wonder and find some exquisite Italian fashion finds to add to my ever-growing wardrobe!

Rome: A Ballerina's Paradise

Wednesday morning began with a truly memorable experience: a private ballet class overlooking the Colosseum! I could hear the history whispers from the ancient stones as I perfected my pirouettes and relevés. It’s not every day you can combine ballet and such incredible history!

Fashion in the Eternal City

No visit to Rome is complete without a foray into the world of fashion! The streets are a runway of stylish Romans, showcasing impeccable taste. My Pink Tutu journey this week took me through designer boutiques and bustling markets, where I stumbled upon a beautiful floral silk scarf (to add a splash of colour to my outfits) and a gorgeous pair of leather ballet flats (the perfect pairing for my pink tutus).

Cultural Gems

On Thursday, I went on a guided tour of the Vatican. I'm not going to lie – I was in awe! The Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Vatican Museums were nothing short of breathtaking. I have never been so impressed by art and architecture in my life!

And to finish off the week in true Italian style, I enjoyed a romantic dinner under the twinkling lights of the Trevi Fountain. The energy in the square was electric, and I felt completely charmed by the magic of the city. It was the perfect way to end a whirlwind week in the eternal city.

What to expect in the upcoming Pink Tutu Rome post...

Next week, I'll be diving deeper into Roman culture! I'm planning on attending a traditional opera performance, taking a delicious pasta-making class, and exploring more of the city's hidden gems. I'm sure my tutu and I will find plenty of pink and glamorous adventures along the way!

Keep an eye out for next Wednesday’s post on www.pink-tutu.com.

Remember, darling, the world is your stage! Embrace life's possibilities and remember that you too can embrace the magic of pink tutus!

Arrivederci!

XOXO

Emma
