Hello darlings,
Well, here we are! Rome! And oh my goodness, it's gorgeous. It’s the first day of the year, and I'm kicking off 2014 in the most fabulous way - exploring the wonders of the Eternal City. I swear, this place was literally built for twirling! Every street corner seems to invite you to twirl and prance, and it's impossible not to smile as you do! And in case you were wondering - yes, I'm in my signature pink tutu, of course! It seems only appropriate, doesn’t it?
I arrived in Rome last night after an exhilarating train journey from Florence. There's something incredibly romantic about travelling by train - the whizzing scenery, the chatty neighbours, the delicious smells wafting from the cafe car... I don't know, it just makes me feel so incredibly alive!
A little about Rome:
For anyone who doesn't know, Rome is the capital of Italy and an ancient city with a rich history and vibrant culture. The place is steeped in ancient history and breathtaking architecture - Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps... I can't wait to see them all.
The Big Plans:
My plans for this week are overflowing with excitement. First on my agenda: a ballet performance at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. You know how much I love ballet - the artistry, the movement, the sheer grace of it all. I simply can't wait! I already heard whisperings of the costumes and the choreography - it’s a total feast for the eyes and soul!
Then there's the shopping. I heard whispers about designer shoes, fabulous scarves, and oh-so-elegant bags! My inner fashionista is bubbling over with excitement - I know there are some fabulous treasures just waiting to be discovered here.
Oh, and of course, the sightseeing! I've been watching countless documentaries on ancient Rome - the gladiators, the emperors, the gladiatorial fights in the Colosseum! You wouldn’t believe how excited I am to experience it for myself!
Pink Tutu adventures in Rome:
Now, for today’s adventures: It's a lovely, sunny day, perfect for a leisurely stroll through the city centre. We’re taking the trusty train, and you know I'll be sporting my pink tutu for the day. It's all about spreading a little pink joy, isn’t it? I imagine there’ll be plenty of opportunities for photo ops – after all, this city is bursting with amazing backdrops!
New Year's Resolutions:
So, my darlings, I'm starting this year with a brand new set of resolutions. I want to inspire as many people as possible to wear a pink tutu - just like me. It's about finding that joy within, expressing your inner self and letting your inner ballerina shine. I know that my tutus might not be for everyone, but they always inspire smiles and a bit of wonder.
