Ciao Bella! It's Wednesday, the day we Pink Tutu's all around the world celebrate a new blog post! This week I'm whisked away to the Eternal City of Rome, where the cobblestone streets sing a beautiful symphony of history and the sun bathes you in a golden glow.
My trusty pink tutu packed tight in my suitcase, I've been ready for this week of adventure. This little ballet beauty has seen it all, from the breathtaking stage of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow to the lively piazzas of Seville, and it's ready for a Roman holiday!
My journey here was a proper delight. I swear, there's something about train travel that sparks joy. I stepped onto the high-speed train from Paris to Rome with a heart full of excitement and anticipation. I was dressed, as usual, in a beautiful pale pink tutu that swirled with the movement of the train, along with a chic, vintage-inspired pink blouse and cream-coloured cardigan, perfectly paired with sparkly ballerina flats that would have made even Audrey Hepburn blush.
We passed through verdant rolling hills and sun-drenched valleys, glimpses of ancient towns and castles along the way. It was as if the landscape itself was taking a bow, its beauty and charm welcoming us into Italy.
Rome, You’ve Got My Heart 💖
The moment I set foot in Rome, I felt the spirit of this city – vibrant, energetic, passionate! The streets hummed with the sweet music of street performers, the air scented with freshly baked bread, and the smiles of the locals, as warm as the Roman sunshine. I fell in love immediately, my tutu swishing with excitement, as I inhaled the intoxicating air of history and charm.
Pink Tutu Style on Roman Streets ✨
I decided to pay homage to the local fashion by sporting a vibrant shade of coral pink this week, a beautiful shade that blends with the hues of Roman sunsets and terra cotta roofs. This week my tutus have taken a back seat and been replaced with stylish A-line skirts in pale pinks and florals paired with ivory tops and gorgeous statement jewellery that sparkled as bright as the Roman sun. I even found a little boutique that had the most divine pastel pink headbands - the perfect addition to my Roman look!

The Teatro dell'Opera di Roma
My love for the ballet led me straight to the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, a breathtaking structure bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun. Its grandeur and magnificence were inspiring, the perfect place to witness a timeless art form in a city overflowing with culture. I dressed up for the occasion, my pale pink tutu with a black velvet sash, adorned with an emerald brooch, paired with a flowy pink dress that echoed the elegance of the theater's intricate architecture. It felt like a dream!
The Ancient Charm of Roman Squares 🏛️
Rome is a living, breathing museum. Every corner you turn reveals a new chapter in history, every piazza whispers stories from the past. From the breathtaking majesty of the Colosseum to the tranquil beauty of the Pantheon, I found myself lost in time, mesmerized by the artistry and craftsmanship of the Romans.
One afternoon I found myself perched at the Trevi Fountain, captivated by its beauty. The sunlight, catching the water in shimmering bursts of light, as it cascaded down the weathered stones. I tossed a coin over my shoulder with a heartfelt wish to return someday, feeling a surge of love for this incredible city. I must say my pink tutu really looked magnificent against the stunning backdrop of the fountain!
A Bite of the Roman Lifestyle 🍕
One can't talk about Rome without indulging in the food! It’s simply divine! Oh, my darling, I had to try that famous pasta carbonara – creamy, cheesy, and the perfect balance of salty and savory. I devoured the delectable thin-crust pizzas, sprinkled with local herbs and the freshest of tomatoes, topped with perfectly melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella cheese. The Italian flavors have become my newest addiction.
And how can I forget those creamy gelato, scooped in pink, strawberry and chocolate flavors that melted in my mouth with every bite?
I think I’m falling in love with Italy, its people, its culture, and oh yes, its delicious food! The art, the culture, the beautiful sunsets, the food, the charm, everything! I really can’t imagine my life without travelling – but to travel is to experience, to be inspired, to live, and above all, to dance, or at least to wish that everyone could wear a pink tutu! I really can't think of a better place to feel inspired and to experience all that life has to offer, especially with my pink tutu!
On my “To Do” list in Rome:
- Taking a gondola ride down the River Tiber (the perfect setting for a graceful waltz)!
- Indulging in a sumptuous dinner at one of Rome’s beautiful rooftop restaurants – where I shall definitely be wearing a pink tutu!
- Visiting the Galleria Borghese, the home of Renaissance masterpieces!

As the sun sets over Rome, casting a warm golden hue on the city’s skyline, I know this is only the beginning of my Roman adventure. This vibrant city has captivated my heart, my soul, and my wardrobe with its unparalleled charm.
