Pink Tutu Rome: Post #1103 – La Dolce Vita, Baby!
Ciao bella! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Rome post! This week I'm back in the Eternal City, ready to soak up all the sights, sounds and, of course, the incredible fashion!
Rome has a special place in my heart, it really does. I mean, where else can you stumble across ancient ruins, tuck into the most divine gelato, and then be whisked away by a performance at the Teatro dell'Opera? It's a truly magical place, and I'm so excited to share my adventures with you!
Travel in Style
You already know how much I love a train journey. There's just something so glamorous and liberating about watching the scenery flash by, my pink tutu swirling in the breeze! I travelled from my darling Derbyshire home via Paris (just a quick pitstop, you understand), and let me tell you, the French were mesmerized by my outfit. It's all about spreading the Pink Tutu Revolution, remember? The more people who embrace the colour and the twirl, the better!
Rome, Oh Rome
I'm staying in a delightful little boutique hotel near Piazza Navona, the perfect spot for me to launch myself into all the exciting things Rome has to offer. The city is brimming with culture, history and – of course – fashion! I can't resist a little retail therapy when I'm here. The shops are so unique, offering all sorts of gorgeous pieces that make my heart skip a beat. And when it comes to finding the perfect pair of pink ballet flats, I think Rome is a shoe lover's paradise!
A Feast for the Senses
So far I've wandered through the awe-inspiring Colosseum, felt the history in the air at the Roman Forum, and even taken a trip to the Vatican Museums (a little bit of art never hurt anyone!). Of course, I wouldn't be a proper fashionista if I didn't pop by the most stylish ateliers and boutiques in town. The cobblestone streets are a dream for street style inspiration! Think oversized sun hats, beautiful silk scarves, and gorgeous flowy dresses. And I've been spotted a couple of times myself, twirling down cobblestone alleys in my signature pink tutu, you can bet on it!
The Show Must Go On
Speaking of performances, tonight I'm going to the Teatro dell'Opera to see “Swan Lake”. Oh, the magic of ballet, you guys! Nothing makes me feel more alive than a beautiful performance, where the dancers embody passion and emotion through their movement. This is one of my greatest joys in life – being surrounded by artistry, by passion and beauty, and in a setting like this… It doesn’t get much better!
What's On Today?
You know me, always eager to fill my day with as many fabulous activities as possible. Here's a little sneak peek into my Wednesday itinerary:
- Morning: After a delicious Italian breakfast (that’s croissants, coffee and fruit, of course!), I'm taking a ballet class. Just keeping those legs and toes toned for those perfect pirouettes!
- Afternoon: I’m thinking a bit more shopping! Let’s face it, some serious window shopping is always a good idea, you know! Perhaps some vintage gems or maybe even a designer piece. I can never resist a fabulous pair of ballet shoes, though, I must confess!
- Evening: "Swan Lake" at the Teatro dell'Opera – Oh, it's gonna be incredible! A breathtaking ballet performance set against the backdrop of the beautiful Teatro dell'Opera, what more could a girl ask for?!
I'll be sure to share my evening adventures and snaps in my next post. Remember, follow me on Instagram (@PinkTutuEmma) for real-time updates. Don't Forget The Tutu!
Until next Wednesday, darling, stay beautiful and keep spreading the Pink Tutu Revolution! Remember, life's too short to not be a little bit fabulous, and twirling in a pink tutu is a guaranteed mood boost!
