Pink Tutu Rome: Week 1104 - Ciao Bella! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ’–

Hey gorgeous girls! ๐Ÿ’‹ Emma here, back from the Eternal City and positively buzzing with excitement. It's been a whirlwind few days exploring Rome, soaking up the sunshine, and of course, getting my ballet fix! ๐Ÿฉฐ This week's #PinkTutuRome post is dedicated to the incredible experience that was Rome and it's overflowing with fun and fashion tips, just for you! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now, you know I can't travel anywhere without my signature pink tutu. Rome was no exception! I donned my most beautiful, floaty tutu and strutted through the ancient streets like a ballerina on a Roman holiday. People were mesmerised! I'm telling you, a pink tutu can transform even the most ordinary of streets into a magical, fantastical setting. ๐Ÿ’–

Speaking of transformations, let's talk about the amazing ballet shows I saw in Rome. It's no secret that I adore watching professional ballet โ€“ the graceful movements, the stunning costumes, the stories they tellโ€ฆ chefs kiss It's pure magic. My personal highlight was a show at the Teatro dellโ€™Opera di Roma. Can you believe the sheer grandeur of that building?! It felt like stepping into a time machine, transported straight to the golden age of opera and ballet. The performance was mesmerizing, leaving me feeling totally inspired and ready to leap onto the stage myself!

Between shows, I made sure to indulge in my other love โ€“ fashion! The fashion scene in Rome is just as exciting as its ancient history. I hit the streets of Rome's fashion districts, scouring for chic Italian boutiques and vintage finds. I found the most fabulous pair of pink, pearl-studded heels, and let's just say they'll be starring in many a future Pink Tutu Instagram post! ๐Ÿ’–

And how can I forget the delicious Italian food! From the aroma of freshly brewed espresso to the taste of authentic pizza and pasta, my taste buds were on an adventure of their own. Of course, I made sure to find a delightful gelato cafe โ€“ and you bet I got mine in a pink cup! ๐Ÿฆ

Before I dive into more details, I just want to say how incredibly lucky I feel to travel and experience new places while sharing my love for ballet and pink tutus. Funding my travels through ballet performances feels like a dream come true. It reminds me to follow your passions, no matter how quirky they might seem, because the universe has a funny way of making things happen. โœจ

Now, onto the exciting details! Here's a peek into my Roman adventure:

Day 1: Arriving in Style

I took the Eurostar train to Rome. Oh, the journey is a part of the adventure! So many things I saw whizzing past and so many possibilities for stories that could be told...and so many outfit changes! I wore a comfortable but stylish grey and white dress with an eye-catching, fluffy pink tulle skirt and pink high tops, perfect for a day of exploring the Italian capital. Youโ€™d be surprised how many photos I was asked for! ๐Ÿ˜Š

My arrival in Rome felt magical โ€“ like entering another world entirely! It was everything I had dreamed it would be: ancient buildings bathed in golden light, bustling streets, the scent of freshly baked pastries, the friendly locals...I felt right at home.

I found the cutest little apartment with a balcony that had a view of the city! A touch of home for this pink loving ballerina... It has everything a girl needs, including a small sewing machine for when my tulle gets damaged or needs mending. And let's just say the sewing machine will get a good workout with this travelling pink tutu girl! I unpack, unpacked my cases, took a million pictures and had a glass of delicious local wine on the balcony before dinner.

Day 2: Discovering Roman Delights

Today I made sure I hit all the must-see tourist spots: the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Pantheon. But rather than focusing on the ancient history (though I certainly enjoyed that, too!), I was more captivated by the vibrant street performers, the elegant shops lining the streets, and the beautiful fountains adorned with marble statues.

Lunch was at the cutest trattoria - I felt like I stepped into a vintage movie set, surrounded by checkered tablecloths and the smell of garlic and basil in the air. My pink tutu turned quite a few heads โ€“ as usual. ๐Ÿ˜Š I'm so grateful to live a life where my fashion choices make others happy.

That evening, I felt the need to do something a bit out of the ordinary, so I joined a dance workshop in the beautiful Piazza Navona. Imagine learning ballet steps in front of the Bernini Fountain, with the lights of the city reflecting in the water! It was exhilarating! We danced under the stars, twirling and leaping, with the sound of music filling the air. It was an experience Iโ€™ll never forget.

Day 3: Fashion and Foodie Heaven

Now for some retail therapy! Iโ€™m always on the hunt for pink tutus and adorable ballet inspired clothing and shoes, and Rome didnโ€™t disappoint! I spent the entire day wandering through the charming streets of the Trastevere neighborhood, popping into quaint boutiques, checking out vintage markets, and snapping endless selfies (my favourite!). It was like a pink wonderland! ๐Ÿ’•

In the afternoon, I found myself mesmerised by the stunning sculptures and artwork at the Galleria Borghese. Imagine the paintings coming to life in my imagination, transforming my pink tutu into a gown for a ball. How cool is that! ๐Ÿ˜‰

For dinner, I tried out a Michelin-starred restaurant (that served an entire five course meal using the colours of the rainbow, even a rainbow gelato)! That's a pink-tutu loverโ€™s dream come true! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Day 4: Exploring Ancient Ruins & Ballet Delights

Rome is a haven for lovers of history, and I had to explore the ruins of the Baths of Caracalla. I stood in awe of the massive columns and ancient arches, trying to imagine the Romans bathing and socializing within these once magnificent structures. I even struck a few ballerina poses amongst the ruins. ๐Ÿ˜œ

My favourite part of the day? Seeing "La Bayadere" at the Teatro dellโ€™Opera di Roma! It's the most beautiful and elegant performance Iโ€™ve seen so far. I just love the dramatic story, the vibrant colours of the costumes and the exquisite choreography! It reminded me why I am so passionate about ballet โ€“ and it definitely spurred me to train even harder for my next big show!

Day 5: Departing With a Heavy Heart

Packing up was bittersweet. Saying goodbye to the vibrant city, the tasty Italian food, the incredible sights, the charming localsโ€ฆ all felt too soon. However, my departure gave me more stories and photos for my blog, inspiration for more tutus, and it reminded me that Rome was just the beginning.

So, how do you live your most amazing life? Travel the world! Find beauty in every moment, even amongst the everyday, the chaotic, the crazyโ€ฆ find that spark that ignites your passion, wear a tutu or not โ€“ even better โ€“ do wear a tutu and find out for yourself just how much attention you'll get! And don't be afraid to go after what makes your heart sing, because even the most far-fetched dreams can come true. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Remember to follow my Pink Tutu blog, I have more Rome adventures planned for my future and even more pink tutu shenanigans to share with you! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Until next week, keep twirling! ๐Ÿ’•
