Pink Tutu Rome: Ciao Bella! #1127
Buongiorno from Rome! It's Wednesday, which means it's Pink Tutu time! This week I'm whisking you away to the Eternal City, where history, culture, and oh-so-much deliciousness await! My little pink heart is fluttering with excitement. This is my second trip to Rome - I just can't get enough!
Last time, I spent most of my time wandering around the Roman Forum, mesmerized by the ancient ruins, soaking up the history. But this trip, I'm all about the glitz and glamour! Iām going to be hitting the theatre district, catching a couple of ballet shows and, of course, adding to my fabulous fashion wardrobe at some of Rome's incredible vintage shops.
And speaking of fashion, how could I possibly resist the allure of Roman elegance? The flowing lines of the Italian dresses, the buttery leather of their shoes, the bright scarves... itās just too much! Not to mention the delicious smells of freshly baked bread and rich coffee... sigh, I could get used to this life!
Of course, I've been busy twirling in my pink tutu to earn some travel funds, performing a delightful āSugar Plum Fairyā ballet recital back in my Derbyshire village. Honestly, I never cease to be amazed at the power of ballet to uplift and inspire, even the grumpiest villager couldnāt help but smile. Plus, a cheeky ballet performance does wonders for the credit card.
Anyway, enough about me! Back to the adventure, right? This week I'm diving into all that Rome has to offer. The Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps... I can practically hear the cobblestone streets singing to me, inviting me to explore! I even planned to take a leisurely stroll down the Via Condotti - known for its designer boutiques. And letās not forget a stop at the legendary Gucci Garden - an ode to Italian fashion at its best!
As for food, I plan to indulge in all the Roman culinary delights I can possibly manage. From hearty plates of pasta to creamy gelato (I may or may not try every single flavour!) I'm determined to sample the cityās diverse flavour palette. Of course, no trip to Italy is complete without a generous helping of espresso! That bold and rich flavour is what keeps me going (alongside my passion for ballet, of course!).
Today was my first day, so I arrived, dropped off my bags, and, because Iām all about finding the most fabulous local spots to try, started researching my dinner location. My travel blog posts usually focus on sharing some fashion-focused local gems, but tonight, I found the ultimate food-lover's paradise! La Taverna Romana! This little gem is a bustling spot filled with locals and a menu overflowing with delicious pasta dishes that make you weak at the knees! I think I found my go-to restaurant for the rest of the week... sorry other restaurants!
Tomorrow, I'm stepping out to soak up the sights and sounds of the city centre. I've even been browsing local dance schools, hoping to squeeze in a class or two (though I may be slightly out of practice after the long train journey!). I also plan on taking in the magical āThe Barber of Sevilleā performance at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma - my dream opera!
So, here's to the enchanting wonders of Rome! Follow me on this sartorial journey and get ready for an explosion of pink tulle, cobblestone streets, and exquisite fashion. Join me for more Rome-tastic adventures on the next Pink Tutu post - ciao for now!

Pink Tutu Weekly Round Up!
Since it's Wednesday, it's only natural that I include all my fashion favourites from the past week in one handy-dandy little blog update, just for you lovelies! This week I went for a touch of sparkle and sweetness ā because let's be honest, who doesn't need a little dose of joy every now and then?
Outfit #1 - The Sweet and Sparkly Everyday Look
This outfit is my go-to for a day of exploring or running errands! I love the colour combo! A soft pink cable knit jumper layered over a blush-coloured chiffon blouse - both so soft! Paired with a simple black a-line skirt, itās all about subtle elegance. I added a pair of sparkly ballet flats because, well, I love my sparkly shoes, don't we all? This outfit is perfect for days filled with walking, as itās so comfy.
Outfit #2 - The Bold Pink Power Statement
Okay, letās face it - sometimes you need a touch of sass. And that's where this outfit comes in. Think: confidence, attitude, and of course, a whole lotta pink. My classic red patent leather ballet pumps pair wonderfully with a vibrant magenta-pink dress, just for that added "oomph." Donāt forget the matching handbag and youāll look extra chic.
Outfit #3 - The Tutu Dress ā A Statement for the Dance
Last but definitely not least, it's my go-to tutu dress for practice! This vibrant pink creation, perfect for those days you just need to channel your inner ballerina (or the dance stage!).
I even found some time for some fashion-forward fun! My favourite new finds include a vintage lace dress from a charming little boutique near Covent Garden and a sparkly silver ballet-inspired necklace.
And to finish things off, some exciting news! My newest ballerina-inspired jewellery line just hit my online store. Check out my beautiful range of swan, ballerina and dancing shoe charms. Each one is unique and beautifully crafted - perfect for adding a touch of ballet-themed beauty to your outfits. I can't wait to hear what you think!
Stay twirling and always keep those pink tutus at the ready! Until next week!
