Ciao bella, darlings! Emma here, back with another exciting #PinkTutuRome adventure. As the Italian sunshine bathes this glorious city in a warm golden glow, I'm finding myself absolutely smitten with Rome. It's like stepping back in time, with all the cobblestone streets, grand piazzas and stunning architecture, and yet, there's this buzz, this vibrant energy that keeps everything feeling utterly modern. Iāve been making the most of this magical city and my week's been bursting with incredible moments - ballet shows, shopping for some fabulously fashionable finds and soaking up the beauty of Romeās iconic landmarks!
Train Travel - Chic and Effortless
I love travelling by train, especially in Europe. The journey from Derby to Rome, with a quick change in Paris, was a fabulous adventure in itself. Iāve been adding to my āTravel Tipsā on my blog ā if youāre new to the site, Iām full of ideas to inspire your next adventure. I even write about the best pink shoes to travel in (ballet shoes and ballet flats are perfect, I swear). Itās all about embracing comfort and elegance, and it certainly sets the tone for any adventure.
From Roman Colosseum to āLa Scalaā in Style
This week, I was determined to explore more of this vibrant city, from its majestic Roman Colosseum, an absolute must-see! Its grandeur really leaves you speechless, the history simply seeps out of the stone. This time I had a plan ā my very own Pink Tutu Roman Itinerary! To say it went fabulously would be an understatement.
And, of course, a trip to Rome wasn't complete without experiencing the world of opera. The magical "La Scala" Theatre is a haven for lovers of all things musical, but for someone who's passionate about the performing arts, it was like stepping into another world. This time, I chose my brightest, most extravagant pink tutu and let it swish in time with the music. There was something simply magical about being transported to a bygone era, a time of beautiful music and glorious art, with the music and costumes leaving you mesmerized.
The Art of Finding Pink in Every Corner of Rome
Rome's beauty lies in its details - every corner, every cobblestone, every ancient building offers a new and delightful vista. And you know me, I'm always on the lookout for that perfect pink hue. Itās not hard in Rome; the colours are so vibrant - vibrant blues and yellows, shimmering golds and of course, pops of delicious pink. The streets of Rome feel like an art gallery and the cafes, oh my goodness, the cafes - sitting outside a cafe sipping a delicious espresso with a plate of decadent gelato - you simply can't beat it! From the ancient monuments to the quaint, charming squares and streets bursting with local charm, I just canāt get enough of it all. I just love to discover that perfect shot and document everything with my camera, capturing every stunning nuance of Roman charm and pink details!
Dancing, Shopping, and Dreaming in the Eternal City
The highlight of the week was seeing the āDance with the Starsā show. Oh my goodness, it was just breathtaking! So graceful, so elegant, and simply electrifying. Every movement was so perfectly executed, the artistry was simply sublime, and every twirl, every leap, made me want to dance even harder when I got home.
Every day feels like a fairytale here - the sights, the smells, the colours. And, speaking of colours, whatās a Pink Tutu adventure without a little shopping spree? I've been finding the most exquisite treasures in some of the most amazing boutiques, where I've discovered some seriously fab pieces. Rome is definitely a haven for fashionistas, and this weekend I went a little wild and splashed out on a stunning coral dress and a vintage broach that simply screams glamour. I have a feeling I'm going to wear it on my next big performance! Iām all about adding touches of pink into my outfit, but donāt worry - there are always so many styles to suit every fashionista.
Inspiration Around Every Corner
This week's #PinkTutuRome adventures have been a joy - the vibrant energy, the historic landmarks, the enchanting ballet and the endless inspiration. And every day I see the beauty of life around me. I really believe itās all about finding your joy. For me, that's dancing, tutus, shopping and embracing the joy that is life! Itās about experiencing new things and bringing a touch of pink to every moment!
