Pink Tutu Rome: A Dance Through The Eternal City! (Post #1304)
Ciao Bella! Itās Wednesday, the sun is shining (even if it's just a touch too hot for my liking!) and Iām back in Rome for another exciting week of dancing through the Eternal City. This is Post #1304, coming to you live from the cobbled streets of Rome! My feet might be tired from all the exploring, but my heart is full of the joy of Romeās captivating spirit.
This week, my lovelies, Iām on a mission to bring you the ultimate pink tutu travel guide to Rome, a city so vibrant, so rich in history and culture, that itās truly the perfect setting for my whimsical pink tutu style.
Now, for those of you who are new to the #PinkTutuRome world, let me tell you, travelling in a pink tutu is an absolute joy! Itās like a passport to fun, opening doors to new experiences and making you the centre of attention everywhere you go. I get so many lovely smiles and compliments from strangers, which always makes me feel so good.
And speaking of good things, I am currently enjoying the delightful aromas and delicious flavours of Rome, particularly indulging in a perfectly brewed cappuccino in the shade of a glorious Roman piazza! My little tum is already feeling well-loved with all the delicious pasta dishes I've tried so far! And my wardrobe is equally well-fed with some delightful additions from the stunning boutiques in Trastevere. Let's just say I haven't been able to resist a few gorgeous pieces in my favourite shade, pink! š
A Pink Tutu Tour of Rome
So, how does a pink tutu wearer explore the city of Rome? Hereās a sneak peek into my day:
- Morning Ballet: Each day begins with a private ballet lesson at one of the beautiful dance studios tucked away in the heart of Rome. Itās like a mini retreat, allowing me to immerse myself in the art of dance and connect with my inner ballerina, even on the road!
- Roman Ruins: Itās not all dancing! Iāve been enjoying exploring Rome's historical treasures: the Colosseum, the Forum, the Pantheon. Wearing a pink tutu among these majestic ruins feels truly surreal. My outfit certainly attracts attention!
Today's Highlight: Opera and Fashion in Rome!
And now, my darling blog readers, a sneak peek at today's exciting agenda!
Tonight, Iām headed to the Teatro dellāOpera di Roma to witness a dazzling production of Verdiās āRigolettoā. You know me, I love my operatic evenings! A glamorous spectacle in the grandeur of the Roman opera house ā just what this pink tutu princess craves!
I'm feeling inspired by the opera scene. A fabulous designer from Rome's "Quadrilatero del Lusso" has invited me to an exclusive viewing of his new spring/summer collection. Think flowing tulle, sparkling embellishments and luxurious fabrics - everything a pink tutu lover could wish for!
Travel Inspiration
Let's get a little practical for my fellow travellers. One thing I must say, you definitely can't wear your ballet shoes everywhere in Rome. Itās just not a very sensible choice. That's why, I pack my favourite flat pink ballet flats, they are practical, but they also allow me to slip easily into character should I need to impromptu perform for my audience on the Roman streets.
Of course, no #PinkTutuRome blog would be complete without some fashion tips:
- Wear layers. The Roman weather is quite fickle.
- Choose comfortable shoes. Walking shoes are essential for navigating Rome's ancient streets. I highly recommend stylish loafers in blush pink!
- Be adventurous with colour and texture. Embrace the Italian sense of fashion and don't be afraid to add some flair to your outfits with a pop of pink or a playful scarf.
- Embrace the pink tutu! Remember, it's not just a dress, it's a lifestyle! I promise, you will get so many smiles from locals, and it will help you make memories you'll never forget.
