#PinkTutuRome: Buongiorno Bella! Post #1379

Ciao Bella! It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for another installment of my #PinkTutuRome adventures! This week, I'm bouncing around the Eternal City in a bubblegum pink tutu, embracing the sunshine and all the magic Rome has to offer.

I've been feeling particularly inspired by Rome's history this week, the way it blends ancient charm with modern vibrancy. I spent a lovely morning strolling through the Colosseum, picturing gladiators clashing in the arena, and marvelled at the intricate carvings and architecture. It's hard to believe such a structure, built nearly 2,000 years ago, still stands today. You know I love a bit of history! Rome is definitely the perfect destination to soak up the historical essence of ancient civilization - even the cobblestones have stories to tell!

But Rome isn't all about the past - the city bursts with contemporary style and an eclectic spirit. My day was filled with a vibrant shopping spree. I adore discovering quirky independent shops with a real sense of personality, and Rome is full of them! I discovered a treasure trove of vibrant silk scarves and beautiful leather handbags, which I just couldn't resist. The pink ones, of course!

Shopping for a cause! I always love to shop with a purpose and this week, I found myself charmed by the street market in Trastevere. A charming little Italian neighbourhood bustling with life, cobbled streets full of artisanal crafts, vintage treasures, and of course, delectable food stalls - It's the perfect place to pick up souvenirs. This weekend, I treated myself to a beautiful, handcrafted porcelain ballerina, and I'm thinking of adding a tiny tutu to her, just for fun. (You know I can't resist a good crafting project!).

It's been so lovely catching up on this week's Rome adventure. But I must dash - it's Wednesday evening, and I'm headed to a performance at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma - my favourite ballet company is performing La Traviata, and I am SO excited! I love that ballet and opera meet in Rome - it's like a dream!

As always, remember: You don’t have to be a ballerina to embrace the power of a pink tutu! It’s about expressing yourself, about feeling empowered, and about celebrating life in all its beauty and glory.

Until next Wednesday, dear friends!

Ciao bella!
