#PinkTutuRome - Post #1406: Ciao Bella! Rome's Calling! 🩰🇮🇹

Wednesday, 2022-05-18

Buongiorno from the Eternal City, darlings! This week, Emma’s taken the train to Rome for a spot of sunshine and Roman holiday. ☀️ I've been working so hard lately - back to back performances at the Derbyshire Arts Theatre (and what a glorious reception we had!), teaching at the dance academy, and finding new ways to sprinkle that pink tutu magic around the local area. But it's time to recharge! And what better place to recharge than Rome, the city of romance and endless pasta! 😍🍝

This city just makes me want to twirl! I can already feel the inspiration flowing for a brand new tutu creation. Something with a little Roman flair, perhaps, featuring exquisite lace and silky swathes of the most beautiful pink silk... but more on that later. 💖

First, though, I just have to tell you about the journey. I love travelling by train! It's the perfect way to soak up the scenery and get into the rhythm of a new place. And speaking of rhythm… I just can't help but tap my feet to the gentle rocking of the carriages! It's all I need to kick off a whirlwind of excitement and creative energy.

Tutu-rific Adventures:

Right now, I'm sitting at a little table in a cafe, sipping on a cappuccino (it’s amazing here!) and plotting my adventure. You see, I’m all about creating memories. So for me, travelling isn’t just about seeing sights – it’s about experiencing them, feeling them, and embracing all the fun that comes along the way!

Rome, like a magical swirling ballerina, seems to have something for everyone. I've already fallen in love with the city’s energy, the delicious smells wafting through the air, and of course, the endless gelato shops! 🍦

So, where am I starting my Italian adventures? This afternoon, I’m planning a trip to the iconic Trevi Fountain. Maybe I’ll toss a coin into the water for good luck and to help fulfill that dream of a Rome-inspired tutu collection! Wish me luck! 😉 Then, I'm off to discover the vibrant, bustling streets of the Campo de' Fiori – imagine all the fabulous market stalls to browse and the street performers to watch! I can’t wait to capture some amazing photographs for the blog!

The Heart of Roman Ballet:

For a dancer like myself, a visit to Rome wouldn’t be complete without a ballet performance, right? I’m so excited to see “Swan Lake” at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma this weekend. It’s one of my all-time favorite ballets – such beautiful choreography! The costume designer is absolutely phenomenal, using soft shades of white, silvery grey and classic, classic black... almost makes me forget about my love for pink for just a little while. 🦢 🖤

I'll let you know how it goes - and, of course, be sure to check back here next Wednesday for more exciting tales from my #PinkTutuRome escapade! 💖 Don't forget, darlings, to leave me a comment below – I'd love to hear about your favourite pink moments this week. What outfits made you twirl? What memories brought you joy? Let’s share the love! 💗

Until next Wednesday!
