Pink Tutu Rome: Wednesday 2023-03-15 - La Dolce Vita in Pink! 🩰🇮🇹
Ciao bella! It's Emma from www.pink-tutu.com, back with you again for another installment of Pink Tutu travels! This week, I'm writing to you from the heart of Rome, the Eternal City. And wouldn't you know it, my suitcase is bursting with my favourite shade of pink. How could I possibly visit Rome without a splash of the colour that brings me such joy? 😉
This is post number 1449, and it's a special one. Not just because I'm surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of this ancient city, but because I finally booked a private tour with the legendary Italian ballet choreographer, Roberto De Rossi! This man is a legend in the dance world, and I am practically quivering with excitement to learn some of his signature steps. I'm feeling so grateful to have gotten the chance to meet him, it's like a dream come true!
Oh, and speaking of dreams, I stumbled upon a gorgeous antique shop near the Pantheon this morning. Talk about a fashion heaven! There were stunning gowns, beaded hats, and exquisite jewels from every era. I, of course, had to add a little something pink to my collection – a delicate pink feather boa that would be perfect for adding a touch of whimsical flair to my ballet looks. 💖
This week has been all about exploring the city's iconic landmarks. Yesterday, I spent the morning admiring the majestic Colosseum, feeling a thrill of excitement at imagining the gladiatorial combat that once took place there. I even wore my most striking pink tulle skirt for the occasion, and the vibrant colour seemed to dance against the backdrop of the weathered stone.
The afternoon was dedicated to indulging in the flavours of Italy, at a charming trattoria just off the Piazza Navona. Oh, the food! From the creamy carbonara to the delicate seafood risotto, each bite was pure delight. As I savored my meal, I couldn't help but dream of bringing a taste of Rome back to Derbyshire. I can already see myself throwing a "Roman Feast" dinner party in my Derbyshire cottage, complete with pink tablecloths and my favourite ballet soundtrack playing softly in the background.
Tonight, I'm headed to the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma for a breathtaking performance of "Swan Lake." The costumes, the music, the sheer passion of the dancers… oh, it’s what dreams are made of! The atmosphere inside an opera house is electric, and I can’t wait to lose myself in the artistry. You know I'll be bringing my pink tutu, a little reminder of my mission to spread joy and beauty with every twirl.
For those who might be wondering how I fund all these fabulous travels, I get my dance card full by performing at different charity events, fundraising galas, and theatre productions. You could say my passion for dance fuels my love for travel! It’s the perfect balance, I truly believe so. And honestly, could there be anything more magical than spreading joy through dance and then seeing the world?
As always, Rome has enchanted me with its timeless charm. The vibrant streets, the rich history, and the passionate people all weave a spellbinding tapestry. But what truly makes this city special is its captivating embrace of life's joys. From the delicate hand gestures to the boisterous laughter echoing through the streets, every moment feels like a celebration of living life to the fullest. And I have to say, I’m starting to get a real taste for "La Dolce Vita"!
Next week, I'll be continuing my journey in Rome, exploring hidden treasures and indulging in a little more Italian luxury. But don't forget, you can follow my every step on Instagram, where I post stories and behind-the-scenes moments every single day. It’s @PinkTutuEmma.
Remember, my dear readers, it’s never too late to wear a pink tutu and dance your way to happiness. Life is meant to be lived in a whirlwind of twirling, glitter, and joy! See you next Wednesday for more adventures in Rome! Ciao for now! 💖🩰🇮🇹
