Pink Tutu Rome: Ciao Bella! Post #1448 โ€“ A Day in the Eternal City (and a Tutu for Every Occasion!)

Hello darlings! It's Emma, your favourite tutu-wearing travel blogger, reporting live from the most beautiful city in the world: Rome! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

This week, my suitcase is overflowing with my most vibrant pink tulle, my lucky ballet shoes (those I dance in at all my performances, you know, the ones with the perfectly worn-in sole), and a head full of ideas for exploring the Eternal City in true Pink Tutu fashion.

From Derbyshire to the Dolce Vita:

Travelling by train, as always, was an absolute delight. My train journey was a little more dramatic than usual, the sun was shining brightly and I had a perfect window seat overlooking breathtaking views of the Italian countryside. I sat there, enthralled, with a glass of chilled Prosecco, imagining my graceful arrival in the heart of Rome.

Arriving in Rome was like stepping into a living postcard. The air buzzes with a unique energy, and I couldn't resist a little twirl in the middle of Termini Station! I love those moments, where the sheer excitement of a new city has me literally dancing!

Tutu Tales: A Roman Adventure

For my first full day in Rome, I decided to channel the elegant yet playful energy of the city. My look? A custom-made pink tutu, a bright floral print top and my trusty red ballet flats (they always go with everything, you know!).

The morning was dedicated to art. We started at the Galleria Borghese, which boasts one of the most stunning collections of Renaissance art. It was like stepping back in time - all ornate halls, dazzling sculptures, and paintings that took my breath away. You'll have to take my word for it though - photos were banned, but I am dying to paint a similar portrait using pastel colours when I get back!

After a spot of lunch, it was off to the Colosseum. This iconic landmark is huge - I had to twirl slowly as I walked through its impressive arches, so I didn't miss anything. It was easy to picture the fierce gladiators and roaring crowds of the Roman Empire, I'm hoping they were in pink tutus - it would have looked so fabulous.

Shopping Spree & Ballet Bliss:

In the evening, my friend Lucia, who lives in Rome, led me to Via Condotti, a haven of designer shops. Of course, I couldn't resist grabbing a few new items, especially a divine pink silk scarf. It'll be the perfect accent for a future ballet performance, you just wait and see!

After a dinner filled with delectable Roman pasta, I had the opportunity to see a ballet performance at the Teatro dell'Opera. The grandeur of the opera house was breathtaking and the dancers were absolutely phenomenal. There's a magical power to ballet - it really is a way of communicating beauty and emotions that touches the soul, especially in such a historical place.

Sharing the Pink Tutu Love

Throughout the day, the pink tutu caught plenty of eyes! And every time someone stopped me, it was an opportunity to chat, share the joy of movement, and remind them about the empowering power of wearing what makes you feel good. Even the Italians were receptive to the pink tutu message, which was wonderful!

So, my lovely Pink Tutu followers, that's my day in Rome, a day packed full of culture, beauty, and plenty of pink, naturally! Don't forget to follow me on Instagram ( @pinktutublog) where you'll find behind-the-scenes snippets and sneak peeks at my Roman adventure!

Until next week, remember to embrace the joy of dance, explore new horizons and always be sure to make time to twirl, whether youโ€™re in Rome, Derbyshire, or anywhere in between!

Love,

Emma

P.S: Stay tuned next week, because my Roman adventure continues with a visit to the Trevi Fountain (hopefully a pink tutu moment will be involved!), a culinary feast through Rome's bustling markets, and of course, lots more dancing and fashion! ๐Ÿ’–
