Ciao, darlings!
It's Emma here, your resident Pink Tutu Queen, writing to you live from the heart of Rome! This is it, my darlings, Post #1672, the official start of my Roman adventure, and trust me, it's a real adventure! You see, I've traded my Derbyshire fields for cobblestone streets and ancient ruins. Forget about sheep and cows, darlings, I'm now surrounded by Italian charm and gelato!
Rome's been on my travel list forever! And you know me, always dreaming in pink. Now, imagine me, twirling amongst the ancient ruins in a custom-made pink tulle tutu, living the dream! And I haven't even mentioned the gelato. But more about that later.
This week's been all about finding my Rome groove. First off, a ballet class. Who needs to get in touch with their inner self, right? Just gotta twirl in a room full of mirrors with fellow ballet lovers! Turns out, Italians do ballet in heels, darling! ? I don't think my feet will ever recover, but I felt like I was dancing in the Colosseum. And they had the most delicious pasta for our after-class lunch, talk about fuel for dancing! I managed to find a lovely antique pink silk scarf on a street stall which looked fab with my blush ballet tutu, I just had to have it!
This trip was all thanks to my most recent performance. I took a chance and went for the principal role in Swan Lake in Leicester. Well, darling, let's just say that my performance, coupled with a well-chosen outfit (think a blush tutu, feathers, and an extravagant sequined top!), really took the stage by storm. And by storm I mean that all the tickets sold out! ?️ Talk about fulfilling your destiny. Now, it's all about the romance of Rome and capturing the spirit of this city on the blog for you lovely lot.
Today was dedicated to the "dolce vita," darling! Imagine a beautiful Italian square with fountains shimmering in the sunshine, pigeons flitting around you like you're straight out of a film! Then, picture this: a table at a quaint cafe, a steaming cup of cappuccino in my hands, and a heavenly slice of ricotta cheesecake that could send angels to their knees. Oh, and don't forget the strawberry gelato in my other hand. Pink, obviously! ? ? Every corner here seems to hold a story. It's like stepping into a historical novel, except with much more gelato and sunshine!
There's so much more to come: gladiators at the Colosseum, pizza in Trastevere, exploring the Vatican City in my pinkest shoes. I'm taking it all in, darling. The history, the fashion, the FOOD. This is my kind of adventure, a chance to find my inner princess and let the world know that even a pink tutu-wearing ballerina can live her best life! I can’t wait to tell you about the incredible art gallery I found with the most beautiful silk scarves, and my secret plan to have a photo shoot by the Trevi Fountain.
Stay tuned for all the updates, my dears! And remember: Rome is always a good idea, and pink tutus are always fashionable! Don't forget to visit my website at www.pink-tutu.com to keep up with my latest adventures!
Until next week, my lovely readers! Ciao!
