Buongiorno from the Eternal City, my darlings!
It’s Emma here, reporting live from the bustling streets of Rome, a place I’ve dreamed of visiting since I was a little girl, and a perfect destination to grace with my favourite pink tutu. This Wednesday marks another exciting chapter in my #PinkTutu travels, and let me tell you, Rome hasn’t disappointed!
A Whirlwind of Fashion & Travel
Now, as you all know, I travel by train whenever possible – the rhythm of the wheels and the fleeting scenery simply inspire me. My journey here was no different! The sleek, modern Italian trains whisked me past rolling vineyards and picturesque villages, and as the train approached the station, my heart practically danced with excitement. Rome truly embodies that special mix of historical grandeur and vibrant energy that sets my fashion-loving heart aflutter!
A Pink Tutu for Rome
Of course, no Pink Tutu journey would be complete without a wardrobe worthy of a princess! This time, I went for a dreamy blush tulle tutu, complete with delicate hand-sewn embellishments. It perfectly embodies Rome’s charm - a mix of classic elegance with a dash of playful exuberance.
But I’m not the only one who loves pink here! It seems Rome is brimming with a beautiful sense of style and colour. From the cobblestone streets bursting with floral displays to the stunning architectural details, it feels as though this city itself is an open-air catwalk! I’ve already spotted some incredible vintage boutiques filled with treasures waiting to be discovered, and let me tell you, I'm already planning my shopping spree!
Culture & Entertainment
Rome is bursting with things to see and do, from its ancient wonders to its bustling markets, and of course, I had to catch a performance at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. It was truly awe-inspiring. The costumes, the sets, the music – it felt like magic! Seeing those talented dancers swirling across the stage reminded me why ballet is such an integral part of my life, and sparked so much creative energy for my own dance practice.
Oh, and if you’re looking for some exquisite food in this magical city, trust me, I've found it! Last night, I dined at a charming little trattoria tucked away in a quiet street near the Colosseum. Imagine, enjoying the most delicious pasta, perfectly al dente with the most flavorful sauce, while watching the sun set over the ancient ruins…pure bliss!
