Ciao Bella! It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another dose of Pink Tutu Rome, straight from the cobbled streets of the Eternal City. And believe me, the sun is shining, the gelato is calling, and the pink tutu is ready to twirl!
I know you're wondering, "How can a pink tutu travel from Derbyshire to Rome?" Well, darling, it’s all about planning, dedication, and, of course, my beloved ballet! As many of you know, I fund my travels through the magic of dance, taking to the stage with my fellow twirlers in grand ballrooms and intimate theatres. It's not just a job, it's my passion, my fuel, the reason I can pack my pink tulle and chase dreams!
And what a dream this Roman adventure has become! Today, we’re diving into all things glamorous, exciting, and decidedly pink here in Rome, because, frankly, there's no other way to do it!
Pink, Pretty and Perfectly Posing:
Let's start with my new obsession - the Roman fountains! Imagine, sparkling waters, exquisite stonework, and... a Pink Tutu. Yep, you guessed it. It’s a match made in fashion heaven! I had the absolute joy of photographing myself in my vibrant pink tutu against the majestic Trevi Fountain – just picture a beautiful pink burst against the ancient Roman backdrop. I even tossed a coin in for good luck!
Rome in Rose: The Sweet Side of Italy:
Now, darling, no trip to Rome is complete without a delectable scoop of gelato! The city simply bursts with gelaterias on every corner, and I’ve been indulging my sweet tooth in a riot of flavours - strawberry, pistachio, hazelnut… you name it, they've got it! I discovered a little gelateria tucked away in a charming piazza, the aroma alone could send you into a blissful coma. I opted for a classic strawberry gelato, pink of course, paired with a macchiato and a slice of raspberry tart. The perfect Roman afternoon, I must say.
Fashionable Finds: Shopping Adventures in the City:
Oh, the shopping! Rome is a veritable feast for the eyes, and my little ballerina heart is positively thumping! From designer boutiques showcasing the latest in couture to vintage stores tucked away in narrow cobbled streets, this city is a dream come true for a fashionista like me. Today, I stumbled upon a beautiful silk scarf, the colour of a summer sunset, at a little shop near the Pantheon. It's the perfect touch for my pink tutu ensembles, and I can just imagine it draped elegantly as I take a stroll around the Spanish Steps!
The Grand Ballet: An Evening of Elegance and Grace:
Speaking of elegance and grace, Rome’s theatre scene is nothing short of spectacular! And guess what? Tonight, I have tickets for the La Traviata performance at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma! I'm thrilled! It's one of my favourite operas, and to witness it in a magnificent setting like this… well, let's just say the pink tutu is absolutely ready to twirl with delight!
