Buongiorno, darlings! It's your girl Emma, reporting live from the Eternal City itself – Rome, Italy! I can already feel the magic in the air, and I can't wait to share it with you.
Remember those breathtaking photos I shared on my socials earlier this week? Well, guess who's already landed in Rome? Me, in my brand new pink tutu, of course! It wouldn't be a Pink Tutu adventure without a touch of pinkalicious fashion. It's the perfect shade of "Rome at sunset" and you know I just had to get some snaps. I'm really channelling Audrey Hepburn today, and you know that means I've got to take my best "Breakfast at Tiffany's" inspired photos. You'll see what I mean on Instagram later today!
The train journey over was simply dreamy. It's incredible how a mode of transport can transport you (see what I did there?) into a whole other world. The scenery whizzing past outside, the comfortable carriage, the little Italian lady sitting next to me with her bag of shopping...it was all just so charming. Plus, nothing makes me feel more fabulous than twirling down the train aisle in a fluffy pink tutu, a little touch of Derbyshire ballet sparkle injected into the heart of Italy.
Speaking of sparkle, can we talk about this glorious city? It's literally like stepping into a fairytale. From the moment I got off the train, the sights, sounds and scents have had me feeling like a princess (in a pink tutu, naturally). And don't even get me started on the architecture! Ancient Roman ruins mixed with Renaissance grandeur – it's like stepping through a time machine!
So, where have I been already? Well, I’ve had a good little explore of course. Firstly, a visit to the Colosseum, what a marvel! The history and scale are mind-blowing. Imagine what it must have been like for the gladiators to walk out there. You can just feel the energy and power radiating from the stone, centuries after its heyday.
Next up was a stroll through the iconic Trevi Fountain. You know the drill: Toss a coin in for good luck, and let the magic happen. As for the gelato? Forget it, I'm lost for words. The creamy textures, the intoxicating aromas, the mind-blowing flavours… Let's just say I'm officially a gelato addict, and it's not even been a whole 24 hours yet! Did I mention I am officially obsessed with pistachio gelato?!
Tonight, it's off to the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma to see a ballet! And you just know I’ll be showing them how to really wear a tutu with my fabulous new arrival – you've got to stay tuned for those Instagram posts!
Tomorrow, I’ve got a guided tour of the Vatican scheduled. And rumour has it there’s a vintage fashion boutique that has a "tutu section", I am literally dying! Imagine my excitement.

It's everywhere! I am particularly loving the combination of bold prints with classic Italian shapes. It’s truly a stylist’s dream.
