The journey to Rome was just as dreamy as you’d imagine. I boarded the train from Derbyshire, my luggage overflowing with tulle and shimmering fabrics. There’s something utterly magical about train journeys. The rhythmic sway, the charming old carriages, and the sense of adventure…it just inspires creativity! As the miles flew by, I scribbled ideas for my Rome blog posts, imagining my tutu swirling across ancient ruins and the cobbled streets of this fascinating city.
The Fashion Scene in Rome:
Speaking of the streets of Rome, let me tell you, my dear fashionistas, this city is a veritable catwalk. I swear, every Roman woman walks with an air of chic that makes the most glamorous Milanese fashionista green with envy! There’s a vibrancy in their outfits that reflects the city itself – a blend of classical elegance and playful modernity.
Of course, I've been indulging my love of shopping here. Every single day has been a delightful foray into Rome's vibrant shopping scene. The vintage shops hold secrets of timeless elegance, while the modern boutiques brim with the latest trends. The city's style is like a delectable dessert – a sweet mix of tradition and newness. ?
I can't resist trying to infuse my own pink tutu charm into every look. Today, I wore a blush-pink ballet tutu with a cream silk blouse, a pearl necklace, and a gorgeous leather satchel. The combination was just the right balance of romanticism and modern practicality – perfect for exploring the ancient city, isn't it?
Today's Roman Delights

This morning, I strolled through the breathtaking Borghese Gallery and Gardens, its elegant fountains and sculpted figures truly enchanting. And oh, the gardens! Of course, a trip to Rome wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Colosseum, the epicenter of gladiatorial combats. Its magnificent arches and weathered stones have stood for centuries, silently whispering stories of ancient Rome's triumphs and tragedies. I had to take a photo of myself twirling in my tutu next to this awe-inspiring monument, naturally. Think Rome, think Roman history, think Pink Tutu! ???
I wouldn’t be me without attending a show, and guess what, darlings, there's an exquisite contemporary ballet production this evening at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. It's a mix of modern dance and classical music, and the choreography promises to be spectacular. You know I’ll be taking notes for my next ballet class, with inspiration bubbling up as I enjoy this dance masterpiece. ??
Dinner and Dreams of the Future
For dinner, I indulged in a delicious bowl of spaghetti carbonara – the classic dish is divine, don't you think? And naturally, it was accompanied by a refreshing glass of local wine.
