Hello, darling Pink Tutu followers! This is Emma, writing to you live from the heart of Rome! I’ve just disembarked the glorious Trenitalia, a train journey that would rival even the most extravagant ballet performance! The landscape, a blur of sunshine, rolling hills and olive groves, was as stunning as any scene from "Swan Lake".
It's been quite the whirlwind journey from Derbyshire, England, you see. This week, I’m showcasing a new tutu design inspired by the iconic Roman Coliseum - it's a must-see for every fashionista! More about that later, darling.
I’m officially on my #PinkTutuRome adventure! This blog, my dearest readers, is post number 1787 and as always, I'm excited to share with you everything about the captivating Roman charm that has swept me off my feet. It's a truly fabulous place to be, where pink tutus (naturally) blend perfectly with the timeless beauty of Rome's architecture!
A Day at the Ballet
This morning was absolutely delightful. After breakfast (a mountain of fresh fruit and a croissant, a must for any stylish Parisian - or Roman!) I hit the pavement, a splash of pink against the Roman cobblestones. The Italian sunshine has definitely been working its magic on me!
Rome's opera scene is thriving, with ballet taking centre stage (pun intended!). Today I was treated to a spectacular performance of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker", at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. The choreography was sensational, a swirling ballet of exquisite grace, and the vibrant set, inspired by Renaissance masterpieces, was absolutely breathtaking.
Shopping in the Eternal City
After the show, I took a little stroll down Via Condotti, one of Rome’s most chic shopping streets. You all know I'm a sucker for a vintage shop, and this city is absolutely brimming with them! I was on a mission for a perfect "Roman Holiday" style bag. Think creamy leather and elegant handles. I'm not talking plastic, my dear! Let's go classy! You'll be seeing it featured in my next "What's in my Bag" vlog, naturally!
My Favourite Italian Fashion Secrets
Now, you’re probably thinking, “Emma, you wear a tutu practically everywhere! What else can you be searching for in the fashion world?" Well, darling, this is where my favourite aspect of Rome comes into play - Italian fashion is all about timeless elegance and sophistication! My tip for any aspiring Pink Tutu diva is to add that extra something to your outfit – maybe a vibrant silk scarf to tie around the neck or even a delicate silver bracelet from a hidden Roman shop.
Food, Glorious Food!
A journey to Rome wouldn’t be complete without experiencing its fabulous food! We had a delightful al fresco dinner, indulging in delicious pasta dishes under the twinkling Roman lights, and washed it down with a glass (or two!) of sparkling Italian wine. And as much as I adore my pink tutus, sometimes I like to let loose and try a more au naturel approach. Let's face it - you can never have too many stunning gowns, especially in this beautiful city. For dinner, I opted for a classy yet chic flowing dress - with a matching pink handbag! Just imagine it - Rome, the sun setting on the Coliseum, and me... a sparkling princess!
Pink Tutu Reflections
Tomorrow's all about exploration! I'm going to wander around the historic Roman Forum, where ancient history intertwines with the modern world. I can’t wait to capture the breathtaking scenes and, naturally, whip out my pink tutu for a few glamorous selfies! (Remember folks, a little pink goes a long way in any situation). My mission? To make Rome fall in love with my Pink Tutu message - wear it loud, wear it proud, and never be afraid to show off your unique, inner ballerina!
